I have seen alot of H3's in my area that are custom-painted by advertisers.  I did a little research and found some advertisers pay pretty good for this.  My wife and I are thinking about doing it.  Does anybody here know anything about this? I'm going to do more research on it.  We don't mind getting it painted as long as it's not something, well, dumb

I remember years ago that they were painting up VW beetles with cigarettes ads and other things like Skoal dip...They paid for the paint job only from what I remember..

I found this:

http://www.leaseguide.com/Articles/getpaidtodrive.htm

I'm going to check this out.  I have seen some really cool looking H3's around here. I'm going to find out more.  Hell, I wouldn't mind a free car payment every month :) I think since I live in or near Chicago and can drive down the main highway going into the city every day I have a huge advantage.  I'll let you guys know. (yes, another project) I'm living the live now lol

I have never seen ads for them paying for the wrap (not paint) but I have seen ads for advertisers looking to hire people to driver vehicles around with the advertisers logo on them.

These days, advertisers are actually utilizing custom Mylar film (wrap) instead of repainting the vehicles; i.e., NASCAR, NHRA, airport/hotel/resort shuttles, automotive dealership courtesy vans, transit buses, etc. It's much easier to repair and/or replace the graphics, as well as being a much less expensive process. BTW, SPIKE TV recently aired an episode featuring this particular application process on one of their Saturday/Sunday morning automotive television programs.

I've yet to see a Hummer with such graphics within my local area; however, I did see a slick looking Dodge 'Magnum' from AZ on the 'I-10' last week covered in awesome graphics promoting some sort of seafood distributor..

I'd be all for some sort of cleaning product ad on mine ... when I go muddin' ... then drive around while it's still dirty .. think that would be a good ad for a cleaning product!?! :-)
