I found a slightly used K&N FIPK system on craigslist for my H2. I am putting it on later this week, but was wondering how others have liked it. I figured for the $100 it cost me, it was worth at least trying.....

I tried one on a GM truck once. That lasted a day. It sounded like the filter was in the console beside me for all the noise it made. Took it off and sent it back for a full refund. But if you don't mind the noise, well......

I tried both, the metal and the plastic kits.
I did not notice any power difference with it on. And the noise drove me nuts.

Exhaust is the way to go..............

Let us know what you think when you get it on.

BTW, make sure you get the elbow seated all the way on the TB. It is very close to the fan.

i have a 05 sut and put the same k&n intake on about a week ago, and definetly not happy with it.i lost a lot of throttle response from of the line ,and it seems sluggish when i'm just driving around. if i get on the gas ,it seems to have a bit more power, but thats about it. volant makes a intake that comes with an aftermarket map sensor ,wich is what the k&n needs to work to get that low idle grunt.and just work all around better than the k&n.i'm taking mine of and going with the oem intake .until i can swallow spending another 300 dollars on a volant intake.

I put one on my 4runner it sound worst then my lawn mower took right off.
Then i just bought the filter for the factory box i ate up a lot more gas put the factory filter back on much better.
On the H3 it works and sounds great i think i depends on the size of the motor.
