Well my '06 Ram diesel left me on the side of road one time too many, so after much research and soul searching, I settled on the H3. I loaded my oilfield eguipment (most of it) and went to the local dealer yesterday more to kick tires than anything, when yet again, low fuel pressure and a bogging truck just told me...I'm done! I was finding out as a diesel owner that there are restrictions to vehicle operation, you can't idle in Park as the tranny doesn't pump fluid and it will damage it, you can't idle period as it causes engine/injector and inj pump damage. Also, bad fuel is not covered under warranty and you can see repairs north of $3k.
I test drove the new JK 4dr X, and wanted a Rubicon, but they are not to be had (former 3x Jeep owner), so I decided to check out the Hummers, and I'm glad I did! The fit and finish is top notch and the interior room is workable for my job in the oilfield. The power is OK, and when it is up to hwy speed, it will run swiftly, coming from a Cummins, I wish the low end torque was better, but I can live with it.
Here's my H3 early this morning (sorry about the dreariness) loaded for a job I'm on standby for. It's an '07 demo with a sunroof, ebony cloth seats, side airbags and chrome package. I wanted the midnight blue, but this one had more features for less $$$..
