I am thinking this must be covered by GM.....it looks like rust is going to bust thru at some point. Has anyone else had this issue????

Here are some pics of the rust. Its going in Monday to have the rust on the hooks fixed, and its getting a new chrome gas cap since that is bubbling also.

Mine isn't rusting at the bumper but the hooks are covered in surface rust.... that happened after I pulled a Cherokee out of the ditch that tried to pull a Metro out of the ditch.

They should replace the bumper for you.

The dealer said that we have a 100,000 mile rust warranty, does anyone know exactly what that covers??? I took it in the other day and told them that i have rust all under the truck and they said that is normal blah blah blah and it will not effect anything, i think that they just dont want to hassle w it!! I am starting to get rust on my paint in the door seals and some of my paint is starting to peel it looks like the clear coat is peeling???

Usually the warranty is only for rust PERFORATION right thru the metal. Surface rust is not covered. Severe rust is NOT covered. Only if it eats a hole in the metal. Tricky wording.....
