Is anyone experiencing a rattle in the driver's side door? I hear this rattle occassionally and only after I've been driving the car more than half and hour. It's bugging the heck out of me, but I know if I bring it to the dealer they won't hear the rattle. Any suggestions??

THANK GOD!!!!!! All this time my wife said that I was hearing things!! Thank you thank you thank you...I'm gonna print this thread for proof that I'm not nuts...lol.

Yes I hear the same thing, I think mine might be a speaker. We may have speakers with bad magnets and or voice coils. Once a voice coil blows they will make noise, sometimes even when they are turned off, it will sound almost like when you shake a light bulb with a blown filament...but louder.

Alright, somebody knows what I'm talking about. Does your rattle happen only after you drive the car for a while and not all the time?? I don't know if I should bring it to the dealer. They will probably think I'm crazy and just pretend to fix it. Any suggestions?

if it does it after you drive for awhile do you have the radio on the whole time? Even at low volume it will still heat up the magnet and if the voice coil is starting to blow it will start to make noice once it is warmed up. Try taking a drive with the radio off, not no volume...turn the power off, and see if the noise still appears, I bet it doesn't. If everything stays quiet then you know you have a bad speaker. What I would do is take the door panel off and mark the speaker somehow (scratch the speaker basket is the best) the after the dealer is done, check to see if your maekded speaker is still there. That way you know if the dealer actually did anything or not.

Mike
