Mark-e-poo ... it's a 2005. Guess that's an important tit-bit.
for some reason this just caught my eye...

Anywho..It gives me goose bumbs just think what you'd look like tooling around in that very cool SUT..

I'd work the price down a little, cuz it sounds a little hight to me..Please do yourself a favor and drive it around for at least a day to notice anything and everything..if the seller will let you...if he want's to sell it bad enough he should let you have it for a little while...Have it checked out by a garge or dealer to make sure it has no leaks and stuff underneath that could be a future problem..I mean it does have 35K on it..All sorts of diff and transfer case oils and tranny fluids are due for a change soon..,,Just my advice sugarpie

dude, you been visiting mark or what?

paige, darlin', it was me that said leave it up to the man, and i stand behind that.  but, since it's me, i'm sure you'll take that advice for what it's worth.  still, if you can do it, i say do it.  your mileage will be worse, but you'll enjoy it so much more   if it's a private party and they won't let you drive it around for a day, see if your local dealer will let you drive one of theirs.  hell, they feed people so much $hit on a regular basis, just tell them you're thinking of trading for an H2 and they have a chance for your business.

Yes I know it was you - you sweet, sweet man! I was just playin' with ya ...

I've driven 5 (maybe 6) already! lol! I've been toy'n around with the idea of getting one for a while now. The dealership I bought the H3 from has let me take two overnight already.

Yes, I know. Just more to think about to make the decision tougher. It's even worse for me cause I do love my H3 ... the hubby, not so much. He says it's too small and the seat hurts the back of his leg right above the knee when he drives for any amount of time. He is nearly 6' 3", 255# and built like a linebacker, so I guess it's understandable.

This is the first time I have heard someone else besides me, being 6' 3", complain about the back of the right leg pain on long distance trips. The back of my right leg hurts right above the knee as well. I wish the seatbase were longer. The pain is caused by having to hold my leg up because the seat cushion if too low to support my leg I have put a small pillow under my leg towards the edge of the seat and it helps.

I never tested out the power seats because I prefer having less things to break. If anyone has the power seats, please tell me if there is an option to rainse the front of the seat higher than the back.

I thought about having a seat upholsterer open the front of the seat and put more cushion. I'm sure they can match the fabric.
I even considered raising the front of the seat with a bracket.

I'm not giving up my 2007 H3, so I will figure something out.

If you paid that for a new one, you got a hella deal!! Those kinda deals are not to be found in the ATL! Just for example below is a link to the used ones (owner seller and dealerships) in my surrounding area, there are 2004's with more mileage listed for more $$!! There are 2003's listed for 35k, even 40k. The price for this one is good - though I will prolly offer less than 39k, cause that's how I roll.

By the ATL do you mean Atlanta? If so I live in Morrow 20 miles South of Downtown Atlanta.

TigerLily ....I say go for it you only live once and you really like the sut....and I drive this with no problem in parking lots , narrow drive thrus , narrow bridges etc, does not feel big when you've driven it for few days , I  LOVE MINE!!!....Buy this one it looks great, its only a vehicle and if in time you decide maybe its not for you , then trade it in ....always can get another H3, I find mine so nice to drive on trips ,so comfy ,and about the gas .....who cares everyone spends money in all ways and if this gives you joy then it wont really matter about the gas......remember everyone pays some way to have happiness....so about the gas **** ....doesnt really matter because you will still drive away smiling because you will be loving your truck ..............I"m excited for you .....you will love it

Well, I may be selling my H3 - I dunno. Either way, we are thinking of buying an H2 SUT. It has 35k miles on it and is in excellent condition, price is still being negotiated could be around 39/40k. Good deal? yes, no, maybe ....

Here's a couple pics ~

WOW Paige.....What a dilema!!!

I've always been the SpOnTaNiOuS kinda person so I say GO FOR IT!!!! It's looks AWESOME!!! Besides, poor Chris needs more SUT's on here

Either way, can't wait to find out what you're gonna do........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then expand your seach and see if you can find one somewhere else in the nation for less..  $1000 will ship a car just about anywhere you want it..  You find what you want for $1500 less than in ATL and you've still got $500 more for gas..  Once you find the OTHER truck you want at the price you want..  Take that offer by the dealer your working with and see if they'll at LEAST match the savings after getting the other truck shipped to you..

.......so about the gas **** ....

Many of us do care about the "gas ****"...I own other properties in central FL that I have to check on regularly and when I can't drive up there (from south FL) and drive around for a couple days without it costing me over $200.00  just for gas (in an H3!!)...not to mention that some people have long commutes to work and back...gas IS an issue for some of us... (Particularly with the way gas prices are rising and projections say it could even possibly go close to $4.00/gal)  I personally prefer to spend the money a little less aggressively and have several toys LOL.  That being said...

Paige if this is your dream then by all means go for it and don't look back!  I (and a couple others) was merely pointing out things to think about since it seemed to have you in a quandry and you asked for opinions - and you know what they say about those...

I agree with shorty.......that has never happened before

All vehicle related should be left to the man.....you can pick the air fresheners and steering wheel covers

Now Mike..tell us why its so important, when it comes to vehicle related, it should be left to the man...can't agree with you there..

I wanna know why that is too.. hahahah

Have you considered waiting for an 08 H3 pickemuptruk? I think when the new 08s arrive the price will drop further on the existing ones, lots of people are shying away from H3's due to the uncertainly in some folks minds about the I5. IF they release the V8 and a truck version that may be the sweet deal.

Besides, nothing like a factory 100K warranty, I doubt there's much warranty left on the 03er... And like Dennis mentioned earlier, mucho maintenance coming your way SOON.

I've not heard what's in store for the DUECE in 08, anyone in the know what to comment?

Spoke to the seller again today and got some answers to more of my questions ... and that spare tire question.

He is the original owner - it's never been wrecked or off-road - just had 30k mile maintenance - just had new brake pads - no smokers - he still has original set of wheels/tires that have maybe 5k miles on them, spare tire with spare tire race - has OEM tonneau cover and OEM chrome grille.

He's busy today until around 7:30. So, we may not be able to go look/drive it until tomorrow.

::::::: Still thinkin' :::::::

The gas thing isn't nice to think about, but prolly wouldn't be as much of an issue for me as it is you. I don't drive that far and only work out of the home 2x a week, but the hubby would wanta drive this more.

I wouldn't say it was my dream ... but it is nice. That said ... I'm still studying the whole thing .... What sucks the worst is, we will have 3 car notes until we sold the H3. That's a lot of notes!!
