I lowest I've seen here lately is $2.69. I heard today that if the Hurricane hits Galviston Texas and those refineries go down we could possibly see $5.00 a gal.!!! Yikes!!

I guess we've been lucky here in Laredo with low gas prices ($2.34). I'm sure there are gas stations out there already selling for $5.00 doing some price gouging. With all those evacuees needing gas so desperately. We've already had a few thousand people here coming from the coast including from the Houston area.

we haven't seen a jump yet, but then again we never dropped below $2.90. with the government spending so much on reconstruction efforts, they won't have the cash to subsidize the oil companies, and we'll have to make that up at the pump.

Thought I'd respark this thread since gas is slowly coming down. Wonder if we'll go back to under $2.00 a gal.???
Anyways were at $2.35 for a low price here in my area. NH.
