ORIGINAL: shortbus well, in his defense, there is a lot of good technical info on the other site. finding it is relatively easy too. and, if you feel like having your e-ego stepped on, it's a nice place to hang out. I do agree that there alot of my TECHNICAL info has been aquired at the other site as there seems to be MORE GEARHEADS over there. But on the OTHER HAND, there are WAY more ASSHOLES over there. We just have Shorty!! and you're damn lucky you do . . . . Nancy . . . . . SO TRUE BROTHER!!!!!

Not everyone on that site are jerks and not everyone on this site are cool, but if you want to express your opinion on their site prepare foir a backlash, especially if you (heaven forbid) like chrome. I joined both forums on the same day I find that this is a place to make friends, and their's is place to measure d**ks.

I'm on both sites, and I have read useful info on both. I am a member of a different forum that uses the same page display and navagation as ****, so I found it very user friendly. As for the cliques? I don't know anyone over there so I just read and post. I do the same here. Anyone that feels the need to put down those that post, I haven't the time for, so I ignore them as if they never replied or posted. I don't have the time to go back and forth with obnoxious people. I haven't posted a whole lot here but I have always found it to be friendly. Hope we make # 1 in the future.

ORIGINAL: importkiller As far as technical advise goes......there is NO ONE over there that impresses me. I will put my wrenching experiance against any of them.....the main difference between here and there is quite simple......We have equal technical knowledge but they feel the need to make you know that they have it.....makes some people feel good thumping their chest on an internet forum. I cannot remember one technical question not getting answered here....don't know what more we can do. They do have more offoraders that feel ugly means off road dominant Sorry but I'm not putting $50 steel wheels on a $40,000 hummer.....I can afford to replace my chrome wheels when they get f'ed up. Amen... Elcova sux!!!

ORIGINAL: importkiller how da hell did I get called a dik in this thread?!?!?! Man...I got to re-read all the threads now to see where else I was called out As far as technical advise goes......there is NO ONE over there that impresses me. I will put my wrenching experiance against any of them.....the main difference between here and there is quite simple......We have equal technical knowledge but they feel the need to make you know that they have it.....makes some people feel good thumping their chest on an internet forum. They do have more offoraders that feel ugly means off road dominant Sorry but I'm not putting $50 steel wheels on a $40,000 hummer.....I can afford to replace my chrome wheels when they get f'ed up. as my experience offroading my H2 grows, my opinion of the technical knowledge on that other site is getting lower as well. So much of the comments there stem essentially from one guy and the rest of "the clique", and some of the observations just don't add up when stacked next to my real world experience with the truck. Also, the comments and suggestions about 'wheeling the H2 found on other sites seems unusually focused on rock crawling, with little about the many, many other types of (often much more fun) wheeling to be had. I wish i had more mechanical knowledge, and more knowledge of the appropriate terminology, so that i could put together a nice offroading FAQ about the H2. It would have been nice - when i started playing with the thing in the dirt - to find a nice "guide" to offroading the H2, something explaining the pros and cons of the truck, how to get the most out of it in different situations, and how to avoid abusing it and all of that. I think i've collected enough experience to do that, but hell if i know what all the proper terms are to make it sound all perfeshunal and what not.
