Just wanted to let people know that my H3 with 34000 miles seems to have the classic symptoms.  Its vin number is well below the 68287591 that hummer has issued.  I am trying to get in the service center this week and I will keep you all posted.

Sorry to hear you're ending up in this boat too :(  Good luck on the repairs and hopefully you will have your rig back soon!

Just spoke to the service manager of Wright Hummer, Wexford PA.  He knew everything about the problem and explained that they have done countless head replacements.  He said that dealership alone sold 461 H3s within the VIN range issued by hummer!  I am taking it in on Thursday.
