Calling 2007 H3 owners!

ZX10R -> Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/26/2007 11:08:17 AM)

Got the engine light along with rough idle this morning! I only have 1950 miles on her and its a freakin 2007!! WTF! Taking her in to the dealer today and get a rental. This sucks big time! I am really disappointed already. Hopefully its an easy fix. This sheit shouldnt happen so soon. Sounds like an 06  head/valve problem. Who knows! Anyone have similiar expeirence?

HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS YET..BUT ONLY HAVE 300 MILES ON IT. GOOD LUCK AND HOPE IT DOESN'T TAKE LONG FOR YOU TO GET IT BACK.

See my Check Engine (CE) post down below. I have an '07 (now with 24,000 miles on it) and yes, I need a head replacement (that is after the throttle-body replacement that i was told was the cause of these very same symptoms).

7398 on ours and no problems  (knocks on wood)

Mine has only 6K and the only problem I had with it was traction control was disabled (I got my H3 this way) - dealer replaced sensors and no other problems ever since.

2007 H3 with 13000 Km (8000 miles) and no issues at all.[:)]

I'll refrain from comment as I don't want to jinx my a$$

Let me add that my problem surfaced at about the 18,000 mile mark, so keep your eyes open for when you get to around that mileage. I first noticed the intermittent rough idle, then the CE light came on then it was off after a few additional starts, then same thing again. My scanner showed "multiple cylinder misfires" as did the dealer's Tech II.

Has anyone had a head problem after their's was replaced?

thx for the heads up
our 06 had 19k  when  the nasty head issue popped up
only took 2 days and we had ours back
and 2 days later we traded for the 07
kinda scary that some of the 07's are doing what the 06's did
maybe i should trade it in on a 08 [:D]

Dennis -> RE: Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/27/2007 4:12:32 PM)

Sorry to hear of the 07's getting this problem..I can only imagine that there still is a QC issue with the vender making these heads or engines for GM..Hang in there, I'm sure the problem will be fixed..unfortuantely it's at you inconvience[:(]

While I may be proven wrong in time,  I doubt the '07's have "a" head problem.  Sure, a few may come along that have head issues, but I don't think we'll see a bad run again like the '06 models had.  It is bad news in any event, but no sense getting all worked up or crying wolf about it.  Obviously we will want members who have similar problems speaking up, so we can find out for sure!

Dennis -> RE: Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/27/2007 7:18:19 PM)

Yes, I agree...I really think feces occurs with any machine and the few with this problem in the 07 is probably a coincidence..

ZX10R -> RE: Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/27/2007 8:57:35 PM)

Bad fuel injector, I was told by tech today. He ordered me a new one. Getting fixed on Monday. Got a Pontiac Grand Prix for rental-POS! Hopefully no damaged was done? He said no of course?

Dennis -> RE: Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/27/2007 10:22:24 PM)

Well that's good to hear..I mean that it wasn't the head after all..Don't worry, a bad injector ain't gonna hurt a thing...It's just an aerosol nozzle that squirts fuel..and from some experience, I'd say it wasn't squirting all the times it should...sorta like shooting blanks....anyways, an easy fix.

shortbus -> RE: Calling 2007 H3 owners! (4/27/2007 11:07:50 PM)

i can relate to that shooting blanks thing . . . . did they find staples in the line to the injector?  painful little bastards, in more ways than one . . . . .[:@]
