Page: [1] Login Message << Older Topic   Newer Topic >> Update on Spare Tire Upgrade... - 4/21/2007 9:42:41 PM    WhtRatCop   Posts: 69 Score: 0 Joined: 3/24/2007 Status: offline      Just F.Y.I. to everyone on the Forum that I took my '07 H3 to a local Discount Tire and they were extremely kind enough to put my H3 up on a floor jack & tested the placement of my Right Rear ProComp 35x12.5x18 L/T M&S on a Helo Rim up onto my spare tire mount to see if it would fit should I buy a spare to replace my 265.    Not only did it fit, but I needed NO modifications (Spacers, etc.). Not for the Wiper, Not For The Bumper, Nothing!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! .   My Special Thanks to 07HummerH3, for the patience & assistance toward me reaching the conclusion I was hoping for.   I reckon that I'll have my Helo & Procomp 35" upgraded Spare Tire.  When it happens, I'll take a photo of it mounted and try to figure out how to post the damned thing. But, I can categorically CONFIRM for those of you thinking of making such an upgrade, that a PROCOMP 35x12.5x18LT M&S Tires on the Helo rim I have (Model # Unk.) WILL fit on the back of the H3 Spare Tire Mount without any spacers, & about 1/4"-1/2" to spare between the tire & the bumper. One final thought, the Manager of the Discount Tire said that if my Hummer Dealer gives me any rubbish by lowballing me on my Wheel/Tire exchange, I was to call him and he would try & better for me!
