Since you love the whole illegal immagrants working on your pool so much, I'll tell you about mine

I took last Thursday off for our fence contractors to install our fence.  They were supposed to be there around 10, and showed up at about 1:30.  No biggie I said.  LONG story short, none of them spoke more then ten words of English.  I'm sorry, but I was pissed because I was signing a check over to someone that couldn't even tell me how much I owed unless I looked over the paperwork myself.  He asked "You Pay? You Pay?" and I said, ok how much do I owe, and just looked at me with this blank stare.  This went on for about 5 minutes.  The main supervisor that we originally ordered the plans from at least was somewhat OK in speaking to him, but man I was like HELLO.  I asked them questions about where they were putting it, and they were jsut kinda looking at each other like I was an monkey going woo woo woo woo ee ee ee ee ee.

Anyway, the fence was done and they did a good job, but left mud and dirt all over our neighbors driveway and the street.  Keep in mind, these are people I barely even know yet since I just moved there.  My wife called them and made them come back and clean it up.  He says "oh well it's mud and blah blah blah" well dude you don't track mud and dirt through other people's property sorry.  Mine? I don't really care, but cmon.

Now, our Patio guy, he kinda sorta speaks english as well, but they were there today at 7:15 in the morning digging up the yard and getting the mold ready for the cement tomorrow.  Hopefully I won't have a totally nasty muddy cement lawn to come home to like I did the fence.

If I'm having these issues, I can just imagine what you are going through with this pool lol.  You have my sympathy.  At least I have a mexican wife that can talk to these people.  I have nothing against them, but cmon, at least be able to say numbers in English.  I should have just sent them on their way with no money until someone could explain to me what I was paying for.

it's a nice gesture that you hired your inlaws to install your fence...your a nice guy

My pool project is a complete mess and I am sick of dealing with it. We just got 13" of rain over the weekend and everything is in shambles....I may start drinking over this.

HELL NO, OH NO YOU DIDN'T (mainly because they would have F'd it up beyond belief, but I didn't say that )

That sucks.  Is your body even capable of digesting alcohol? Maybe you'll need some Sharp's or O'Doules (what my wife's father drinks )

WOW, No Pool, No Likka, and next you'll tell me one of your workers is swimming naked in your mud hole of a pool  He'll be waving at you to come and join him!

So, what the hell is going on with that anyway?  What happened with the high water table? Were they able to lay enough crap to block the water from raising up?

yea, the water table situation is under control and they installed a dry well with pump to ump any water that comes up under the pool. The proble now is that the pool is built, liner and filter installed water filled up..just wating to backfill the hole and have the cement sidewalks laid out. But the rain we got filled up the overdig hole around the pool and actually filled the entire over fill up. 5 foot deep 3 foot wide around the entire perimeter of the pool. It filled up and plowed into the pool so now my new pool is nothing but a big azz mud pit. They are still deciding if they could clean it or if they are going to rain the water out and start over again...they don't want to drain the water because I told them they would have to pay to fill it back up again cause it was their fault that it overflowed in the first place (never set up pumps) So we are in limbo now until the ground dries up some.

Sucks to hear both of you having these problems getting stuff like this done.  We'll more than likely wait until next year for our pool to be put in but after Impy's experiences here I'm thinking I may just buy a hot tub instead ... Hopefully in the end all the BS will be worth it though ... and lets see some pics here guys :-)

Bwahahahaha ... that's funny sh!t!  Considering all the BS you've told us about I don't think you'd find a judge on the east coast willing to even entertain the thought of punishing you for it LOL!
I'm actually thinking both .. I like to have my cake and eat it too ...

Maybe, but a pool is fantastic on hot summer days.  Ours needs a frog and lizard round up, then some serious chemical, but I can hardly wait!  The only non-american spouting gibberish at the house will be ME digging the new trench for the gas pool heater.
