I've had Euro DeZigns 8500K H.I.D. Xenon-Krypton Headlight Bulbs for a couple of weeks, but hadn't installed them before today because I was hoping to hear from some of you as to whether or not they burn hotter than the OEM bulbs.  They do certainly appear brighter, but I am worried about the possibility of frying the wiring harness due to possible hotter running temps.

Unfortunately, or fortunately for those of us who actually enjoy Winter Weather, we have a mighty Winter Storm headed my way here in Colorado, and I installed them to see how well they work in the impending Blizzard Conditions that we are expecting.

Can anyone give me information on whether they've have had good luck, bad luck, &/or any problems with the running temps?

Lastly, are there any similar type bulbs for '07 H3 Fog Lights?

Thanks Again!

David

I'm sorry if I forgot to post on the other topic if I did.  I've been running mine for almost a month now with no problems what so ever.  They use the same wattage and don't run any hotter than the stock lights.  The actual viewing is a bit better, but not a huge difference.  The color in the bulbs is a huge difference though.  So far I'm in love.  Those dull yellow bulbs are crappy in comparsion.  If you have any questions please ask and I'll try to give you my exp.

Luke

 Thank You Very Much Luke!

You & I have exchanged Posts a couple of times, & I've always valued your opinion and knowledge.  I'll see how mine work tomorrow in the impending Colorado Blizzard.  If you upgrade again in the future to a stronger bulb, let me know how well they worked, how much they cost, etc.

Thanks Again!

Will do.  I think for daily/nightly driving these are fine.  For offroad I'm just got to add two to my front grill and call it a day lol.

I got both of mine from ebay.  H10 and H13 is what you're looking for.

That's why I kept my factory lights lol... Just encase I need to play dumb, but I don't see how they can overheat with the same wattage.

wattage is the same but the bulb is hotter...that's what changes the color.

found this:

In order for the halogen cycle to work, the bulb surface must be very hot, generally over 250 degrees Celsius (482 degrees Fahrenheit). The halogen may not adequately vaporize or fail to adequately react with condensed tungsten if the bulb is too cool. This means that the bulb must be small and made of either quartz or a high-strength, heat-resistant grade of glass known as "hard glass".
Since the bulb is small and usually fairly strong, the bulb can be filled with gas to a higher pressure than usual. This slows down the evaporation of the filament. In addition, the small size of the bulb sometimes makes it economical to use premium fill gases such as krypton or xenon instead of the cheaper argon. The higher pressure and better fill gases can extend the life of the bulb and/or permit a higher filament temperature that results in higher efficiency.

The higher efficiency they talk about is the change in color and the appearance of a brighter light when switching to a xenon bulb. This is caused by a higher filament temperaure that will in effect make the bulb run hotter.

Hmm, that's some good info.  I'll keep a close eye on them.  I won't stick with the stock bulbs though so if they burn the harness lol... well I guess i'll have to play dumb ;P  The yellow is just sooo... dull hehe.  I'll see about grabing a hi/low HID later.  Thanks for the info IK.
