I spent Easter weekend in Charlotte and Raleigh, NC from Thursday night through Monday afternoon looking for houses with my wife.  While in Charlotte - the Lake Norman area to be exact - during a 10 hour period over two days driving the side roads along Rte 77, we saw 17 Hummers (yes, they were all different - I paid attention to colors and exterior accessories).

It was about an even split of H3's and H2's....but I've only seen 1 in my area of northern CT, and it parks next to me every day at work.  I mean, I know there's more around, but 17 in that short a time vs. 1 here?!?!

I finally turned to my wife and smirked, saying "Wow, it's like a sign that we belong here.....these are my people!"  She gave me the "you're a jackass" look from the corner of her eye....  I responded with, "that's it, we're moving here....it's like Hummer Mecca."

Anyone live in NC and hiring?

That's awsome.  That would be the perfect place for you then

I often get that look from my wife as well but usually when I start yapping about video games.

And, I'd give you a job as my pool boy, but A) I live in Illinois and B) I don't have a pool

I was in Charlotte not to long ago and did not see one other Hummer.  I guess I was at the wrong place at the right time.

Yingxiong...

Well, in that case, just move west to SoCal and you'll be sure to see several of each model everyday.

Only a six-pack? Heck, I'm sporting a keg myself.

I'd almost expect to see that many in SoCal....but I'm not up for paying the property taxes out there.  Reason #1 I'm escaping CT - $8500 a year in property taxes on my crib.  Same house north of Charlotte = $2500 a year.

Has anyone seen the Hip Hop Abs commercial?  I did while in the hotel room in NC.  Scary....real scary.....

Went to the doctor this morning (nothing wrong, I,m just old) and counted Hummers.  The drive was 9.2 miles, according to the NAV system, each way.  Counted 4 on the way to, and 3 on the way back including an H1.  I live in Clearwater Florida.  Its flat, no rocks, no hills, not much mud but man we have sand....I wonder if they were on the way to the beach?  It is 82 degrees and no clouds....

Does sand get in the wheel barrings? or only when your sandblasting the bottom ofa car?

I'd look into some sand dune tires and have a yeehaw.
