First off, holy crp.. I can't believe how much I love the H3.!!! 2006, white, crome pkg, sunroof, xm, awesome.  I got rid of a 2006 Chrysler 300, really nice car, just to get an H3.  Wow, Wow. Wow... This forum really was the key in me getting the H3.  I've read advice, comments, stories... etc.  and everyone seems to care about others H3.  Well, now I'm aboard and I say Thank you all........

So my question is,  How do you explain to your wife that you need 35" tires ASAP when you just pulled it in the garage 5 days ago..???

I found a great deal on BFG AT's, I do a lot of highway driving, otherwise I would have decided to go with the Toyo MT's,   those really look cool...

I can get the BFG's, all 5 of them for $1,100 with free alignment included !! yeah I' m gonna crank up the torsion bars 2.5 turns before I take it in, but....see question above....

Thanks.

Welcome and congrats.  Just tell your wife the truth, that you want them for the look and it's a good price!
And get some pics up.

1st of all CONGRATS stlH3 and welcome!  As lil HB said...just tell her the truth and get them! Do not most women want things (shopping!!!) and get them on a regular basis? I am sure she will want it to look cool too...(particularly if she gets to drive it too lol.) Good luck!

Just coveniently look at them online when she is around and mention how nice they look.  Tell her that ride will be much smoother and that you are thinking of getting them(even if you have already ordered the tires).    Good luck.  I just started enhancing the H3.  Exhaust last week.  PCM this week.  CAI probably next.

Welcome and good luck..Maybe a little subtle bribe wouldn't hurt..Like a nice dinner out and a back rub and see where that leads...

You guys (and Gals) are great!  I believe she is planning a shopping spree with her mother soon, so I guess I can have my own, Right?  Although I think I will just come home with them on and see if she notices.... can't take them back then.  I will get pics soon.. Thanks for the thoughts.

You could tell her that having bigger tires will cause you to be more romantic... blurt out I love you at randoms times.. remember all dates such as anniv., birthdays etc, ... and cause you to send her flowers at random.

Or you could do what I do: and just get them.. "Yes honey, .. those ARE the SAME tires that came on it when we bought it"

LOL

Dont even think twice,, Just do it.  The H3 was made for 35's as far as the total look. I still grin every day I go out  to the garage and hop in.

Funny stuff!  "Sure honey, my truck just got louder over night.  Come on now, it sounds the same to me"  I could have tried to pull that off with the new exhaust.

Hee hee.. in all honesty, my wife is into 4wd's as much as I am, and has no issue with upgrades.

Just tell her you couldn't be seen driving the truck unless you bought the new tires to match the new brush guard that you also just purchased!

Perfect !!! This might work, only the drop in the bank account might tip her off.  And then I'd have to do all the honey do's around the house to not feel guilty....
