Of course, there is also the old "I bought these tires and they threw in some diamond earings" ploy.  But I still think the truth is better.

WELCOME TO OUR FORUM!!!!

I guess I'm lucky then?  My wife is constantly saying "I wanna jack up the rig, I want big tires, why can't we do it now?" and I say "because I won't fit in my work's parking garage if we do, and you'll need a ladder to get in."  I think she'd literally have me spend thousands on jacking up the H3 and putting some massive tires on it then have a baby, sometimes I wonder lol.  As SOON as we get a second car, watch out people, that's all I have to say lol.  She wants to need a ladder to get in that baby, and the funny thing is, she doesn't even drive it!

What is the cheapest way besides new tires to jack up the suspension on a H3 (besides the torsion bars) ?

...Or you could do what I do: and just get them.. "Yes honey, .. those ARE the SAME tires that came on it when we bought it"

LOL

Perfect !!! This might work, only the drop in the bank account might tip her off.  And then I'd have to do all the honey do's around the house to not feel guilty....

Nah.. I got that one covered too...

Just tell her you went wild at the titty bar!

"But honey, .. they were all so damn hot, that I had to get a lap dance from all of them..... twice."

Nice.!!! I guess if I smelled like a stripper, the last thing she would notice are bigger tires...!!!!!  Hmmm bigger tires and a lap dance out of it? not bad.,...Oh yeah, plus a smack across the face and no more sex for a long time...

I'd better just fess up and tell the truth.  I just want them because I just need them... because I just have to have them...

First of all ... I have got to say this .... Unwrap the shrink wrap from the brass and act like you have a pair :-)  LOL!  All joking aside .. why would you want to spend that money on 2" bigger tires of the same kind that came off?  Why not go with something different/better for the same cost or cheaper than what these would run you!?  Just a thought ...  For what it's worth I have a set of 35's that came off my H2 but those were sitting on 17" rims so they may be useless for your application .. if not .. 6K on them roughly ... tried to get rid of em but never heard anything after I emailed the potential buyer the pics ... tons of tread left, lemme know!!!

And on a side note ... smacked and outed for a lap dance!?  Am I the ONLY one here who actually gets dragged to the strip club by their significant other!?  I'm tellin ya, that woman is a keeper!!!! :-)

I have Goodyear Wranglers now, the 285 versions, and they just aren't cool.  the 315 BFG's are my best option becasue I do a lot of highway driving too.  If I didn't I would be going with a Mud tire.

If I only had 17" rims I'd take you up on the offer, but I'm sticking with the 16's due to the cost of buying other rims, and they are crome,... me likes the shiny....I will most likely be doing mild off roading every once in a while.  Maybe a Hummer outting here and there, but nothing big.  I live in more of an urban environment so the availability to 4wheel is limited, Unless I need to divert traffic and cut through the median and get to the service road...

Yuk, yeah, I'd get rid of those too lol!   Understood ... If I drove a couple of hundred freeway miles/week myself, I wouldn't be too pleased with my MTZ's due to the tire whine ...

I too live more or less in an urban environment but there are still plenty of places to go :-)  You'd be surprised how much fun one can have on closed down ranger trails with 2 feet of snow on em :-)  Plus you always have offroad parks to visit if there's no "natural" off road opportunities around!

As far as outings go .. if you're anywhere near Indiana/Illinois/Ohio/Kentucky area we're trying to get a trip together for Black Mountains sometime this spring/early summer ... there's your offroad shot :-)

Well I already know you will find a way to convince her.  If I were you though.  I would check these out http://www.tiredeals4less.com/TOYO_Open_Country_AT_LT315_75R_P1746C174.cfm .  See if your supplier can match the prices as well.

Luke

PS: This is just where I found the lowest tire prices.  I don't work for them lol
