Dilo2001gt - I have been looking for some Bilsteins and was told they do not make Bilsteins for the H3 yet. Where did you get your shocks and are they specially for the H3? I agree with Dennis especially knowing how much mud can throw off your wheel balance. I also have a thing against chrome so I would got with the black. Now that I think about all my cars have zero chrome from the factory that way. I like things to be functional like aircraft, miltary vehicles, race cars- the only place I can think of where I would like chrome is in the barrel of my rifle or its inner workings. If you are off roading you might consider a wheel that lets the tire sidewall stick out an inch or more beyond the rim so you do not mess up the wheel or push the rim away from the tire.

I got mine from these guys:

http://www.cognitomotorsports.com/

Bilstein, Cognito 6140 (modified by Cognito specifically for a leveled H3) roughly 2 bills for the pair.

f4-be5-6140-75

5100 Series

However, they are currently on back order according to the web site. Give 'em a call...Nice guys..

Thanks Gunner_45   I will  try them. Are you running 35's and did you find a big improvement with the Bilsteins? I find the stock are overwhelmed by the factory 33's and even more with the 35's when driving briskly on bumpy dirt roads.

I like them so far. They definately took the "clunk and bump" out of the equation after I had the truck leveled. The ride
is firm but not harsh and with the wider tires and wheels I have, lateral stability is much improved. Like someone else
here on the forum told me (Dilo perhaps), they get better as they break in. As far as I can tell, these are some standard
Bilsteins that Cognito has re-worked to fit a leveled H3. A lengthened stem on one end and a beefier/longer clevis on the
other. I'm not sure why they are back ordered, but I would give them a call and see what's up....By now they may have
another alternative....When you find out something, shoot me a PM...I'd appreciate it.
