No brush guard here. I taped up the whole marker light with duct tape and it seemed to reduce it quite a bit. I plan on changing all the bulbs then siliconing them down. I noticed when I inspected the marker lights that the foam rubber gasket was very thin and cracked. It seems like the wind is going through the markers and into the holes for the electrical and right into the headliner. Hopefully that will be the fix I will let you all know next week. Big Guy, it kinda sounds like your light bar is redirecting the wind a little bit. I bet if you silicon those markers it will take care of it.

Went on a small trip today and heard this noise.  The noise was there till I slowed down to about 45.  when I parked the 2, I got out and looked at the roof.

The corner marker light on the drivers side came loose and was flapping around in the breeze. The head broke off the screw that holds it.

The whole time I heard the noise I was thinking, "How in the hel! do these guys drive around with this. It's driving me nuts".

That's strange .. I don't hear mine at all, not even after I replaced them with the IPCW smoked/clear lenses ...sorry to hear about your problems Chris :(

Unfortunately the marker lights were not the problem. I siliconed them up and I still get the noise. Today I ran duct tape along the weather stripping that comes off the windshield and lays on the roof and that's not it either. I got a tip from another forum if it works I'll let you know.

Trust me...it's not the sunroof wind deflector nor is the problem emanating from your marker/clearance lights...it's the plastic windshield trim (not the weatherstripping) - a common problem with the H2. After my Hummer dealer re-affixed the windshield trim with 3M automotive adhesive tape, it's hasn't made a sound since.

It's funny you mentioned that. I got a tip a couple of days ago from another forum and they said the same thing. So I pulled off the trim pieces layed down a beed of black silicone and screwed the trim pieces back on and it worked! No noise. It was the two vertical trim pieces on either side of the windshield. They are easily removed with two screws under the weather stripping in the door jam. There are many ways to fix it, but basicly the pieces are not airtight. So thanks for everyone's input and I hope this helps anyone else with that damn noise!

My 03 had a wind noise soo bad I couldn't stand to drive it at highway speeds (75mph) when the Kansas wind would blow. I asked the dealer to check it out once when it was in for warranty and they couldn't find anything wrong. I found out that is was the black palstic windshield pillar trim. I put some black silicone between it and the windshield and now it is perfect.

My H2 has the noise too. After a tree limb hit the windshield and it was in a repair shop the noise was gone, for about 2 months. Then it came back. Took it back to repair shop and told them about noise, said it was not there before they repaired it (a little fib). They test drove it and did some work around the black plastic trim at the top right of the windshield. The noise was gone!! But it has now been about a month and a few days ago the noise re-appeared. So, my noise has something to do with the windshield trim.
