Well, I have absolutely no experience working on motors and don't even pump my own gas here in NJ (there is some law against it) but I was able to install my True Flow CAI in about 35min.  It was a piece of cake.  Two bolts to remove the resonator box, swap out the air filter, slide on the red couplings and then put the pipe between them, slide on the vacuum return hose (whatever that is) and tighten down the hose clamps and re-connect the battery.

If this is possible, the Gibson seems to have a lower rumble now that isn't as loud, just deeper. Awesome!

Very nice!  Just curious if you get a lot of noise on heavy acceleration (wide open throttle)?  My K&N is really noisy.

Nice Job 07, I'm proud of you!
Let us know who that supplier was, you sure got that thing awful fast. I hope your " crushed " feeling is going away. At least as far as your intakes concerned.I'll send you some good vibes to work out the issues with your 35's.

Thanks for all of your assistance.  I had Monmouth Truck & Auto order it for me yesterday and they got it in one day.  The intake is great, minus a little vibration from the airbox, primarily when it is cold.  There is no noticeable noise from it "sucking" air, but I do notice increased throttle response.  I am completely with the exhaust/CAI combination......now if I can get the bugs out'a the issues with the bad a$$ looking 35's.

Not at all, actually it seems as if the motor isn't working as hard when I floor it and is is a bit quieter....obviously this is countered by the exhaust which seems to be a deeper bass now. ... Unless I am just clouded with bliss

No...you are feeling the real thing..Same thing I felt and sensed too when I had both ends of the engine breathing easier..forgive me..Can't remember if you had the PCM tune yet..But that will make another big diference too.

...no PCM tune as of yet.  Maybe in the future.

I'm assuming these mods have no affect on the factory warranty? Just got my H3 yesterday and would like to do some mild performance mods..

Same question, got my hummer 2 days ago.  What does this do with any warranty?  Also, what is a "PCM Tune"

Thanks

Somebody just shoot me...

Okay, The mods. such as Cold Air Intake systems, Cat-back exhaust and PCM tunes will not affect your warranty in anyway...A little thing working in your favor to ensure the dealers honor warranty claims unrealated to your mod is call the "Magnuson Moss Act"...If you ever have a little lip service from your dealer, just drop that tid-bit of knowledge on them..do a google search on it and learn more.

The PCM as GM calls it, is the computer of your car...It is easily removed and reprogrammed for optimum performance..Read the the section called PCM....
