For the record..Torsion bar suspension will creak on turns and heavy loading of the suspension..Just get underneath and squirt some WD40 on all those pivot points and that should quiet them down..

Will the same happen if we spray WD40 on Hdoomed?   .....just curious

Now thats funny...

I have the same noise on the front left side when turning.  I don't have a Hummer dealer close by to take it to.  I have been taking mine to a Chrysler dealer that does Hummer warranty work.  I've had it in three times for this noise. They have never found anything or solved the problem.  I will spray down my torsion bars with WD-40 and let you all know if it stops the creaking, because it is a REALLY annoying sound.  06 White/ Adventure

I greased the torsion bar where it enters the key, and that did not solve the creaking problem.  I bought a can of spray white lithium grease and sprayed down all steering and suspension points in the front end.  Presto! Creaking noise is gone. It was such an annoying sound.  I live in Arizona and have had my H3 for a year now. I am out in the dirt(sand) quite often and I guess it just took its toll. So for anybody else who has this problem, give the spray grease a shot. I also recommend cleaning and drying the parts before applying the grease.

As rediculous as hdoomed is I know what he is talking about as I have the same problem ... It is only when I turn the wheel or traveling at a low speed.. If the music is turned way up I wont hear it but if its down I really really hear it.. Any one know?????

Yup I have the SAME noise as well.  I actually have the dealer service department invoice for it, and HummerMike was the guy I took it to for it to be checked.  They told me it's "normal" and that there is nothing wrong.  It's just normal wear and tear and that there is no fix for it since it isn't a problem.  My co-worker I drive to work/train with even heard it last week and asked me what that "creeking" noise was.  It's a real issue, but whether or not it's a physical problem or just an audible inconvenience or annoyance remains to be seen I guess.

Dennis: I will try this later when I get home and let you know tomorrow if that solved the problem.  Why would one of the top GM service guys in the country that personally looked at my H3 NOT know this?  He is supposedly one of 5 GM mechanics in the country that has like some top certs.  I forgot what they call them.  Those guys they fly around to difference places when nobody can figure out the problem.  If these guys can't figure out that only WD40 needs to be sprayed on the torsion bars, maybe we ARE truely ALL DOOMED

I experienced the same creaking as you guys are experiencing, but only after I had my torsion keys changed out to level my truck. It squeaked and creaked when the steering wheel was turned (parked or moving), backing up, applying the brakes in forward and reverse and especially when offroad.

Apparently the areas of the keys that were welded were scraping against the frame. I was actually able to see the paint scrapes made by the keys. These particular keys also cut into the nut as well. I changed my keys to the non-welded type and the noise is completely gone.

I have also experienced a small amount of creaking when I turned my factory keys up too much.

No one mentioned if they had changed the keys or not, so this may not apply at all.

I got my H3 back today from replacing the head and for major friction / growling sound under driver floorboard during certain turning maunevers. Head was as expected, the growling noise took the tech a bit to figure out, ended up being left front upper frame cushion and left frame cushion popping, installed shims and no more awful sound. Oh yeah had to replace the horn also ..... Seems all is good now, mileage even seemed better too
