361 MILES ON ONE TANK

BirdEye -> 361 MILES ON ONE TANK (4/4/2007 10:54:52 PM)

Yep...361 miles. I've never even gotten over 320. The ol' H3 must be a little more broken in or something. We took a trip down to Freer (Texas) for opening day of Turkey Season. The H3 was awesome on our 860 mile round-trip. The leather and the XM make these trips much easier. Of course, there's also plenty of room to bring back piggies like this...got him with a knife. No $hit. 153 lb. wild hog.

Damn nice bird...was he tasty?

kild1 -> RE: 361 MILES ON ONE TANK (4/5/2007 12:09:25 AM)

yeah he was
cut in cubes floured and fried for breakfast [:D]

BirdEye -> RE: 361 MILES ON ONE TANK (4/5/2007 12:17:01 AM)

Awesome...can't go wrong with fried. What kind of scatter gun do you have? All I have is my grandad's Remington 1100 12 ga., with a modified barrell. So i just drop in #4 high brass shells for the gobblers. It's old, but it does the job.

I'm having the piggy made into breakfast sausage, summer sausage, italian sausage, tamales, ground pork, and tiny cutlets from the long straps.
