Our 1/29/2007 order for the Yellow H3 was cancelled by GM three weeks later since they no longer make yellow H3.  We are still extremely upset with GM about the cancelled order.  Also, GM's headquarter has not assisted me in anything.  I even called the investor's relation officier to find out why (since I am a stock holder too).  Nothing.  This is a great example how a big company is forgetting about customer service.

Therefore, we needed to find a yellow H3 on the dealer's lot.

The dealer where we made the order found one however it did not have the Navi, Roof Markers and Universal Homelink.

I can get the Navi installed.  The roof markers are put on hold until they find the correct combination due to noise issues.

My main question, how simple/hard is it to install the universal homelink?

What is the GM's part number?  I can not find anything on this.

I am assuming it is plug and play since the wire/cable will go along the front windshield into the wiring harness.

Your suggestions/feedback are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Have a wonderful day/weekend,
Andy

I agree, it should be plug and play.  Not much else to it.

Now all we need to do is get all that chrome off your rig and replace it with black powder coated pieces .. hehehehehehehe ... I do like the yellow .. wish I went with that or green but ... let's face it ... I have a thing for the dirty iceberg look! LOL!

Homelink makes a universal model, check out http://www.opendoorsandmore.com/home.php or google Homelink.  If you want a flush mount it instead of surface mount, there are lots of custom audio shops that would do it for you.

Otherwise, I believe the factory unit is integrated into the sunvisor so it'll have to be purchased and installed as a complete unit.
