Does anyone have any pictures of a yellow H3 with the yellow grille on it?  I have flaws that are showing up on the chrome grille (salt residue? who knows) and is not coming off.  So, I figured if the dealer is going to have to replace the grille...what if I kicked in a little extra and went for the color matched grille.

I saw a yellow H3 while out one day that totally "yellowed out" with a little chrome on it as well.  I stopped and looked inside - same thing inside with yellow steering wheel etc.  Looked like a big yellow bug LOL..but the more I looked at it..the cooler it looked (if ya really like yellow)...If I ever see it agan I will snap a pic of it since I always have a cam on me.

You can get them pretty cheap online, and install it yourself in about 10 minutes....I think it would look killer!

Found one on good ol' ebay!  I bought my black grille from this seller...It arrived quickly and in the GM factory package.  Pretty decent price too.  Much better than going though the dealer!

I'm not sure of the yellow on yellow.  Depends if you have a brush guard or not too I think.  I would stay with the chrome myself.

I changed the grill, from chrome to black, on my yellow H2 SUT, to match the grill guard, nerf bars, roof rack, tail light guards, etc.
I second DrCarver. Bill Dodge Auto, on eBay, is a good place to buy Hummer parts.

Thanks for the input. The more I think about it....if I get the yellow grille I think the chrome brush guard would be in order. I really like the way the black looks with the back grille, but....the shot that Dennis put up of the school bus...well, maybe that's too much yellow.

for what it's worth.... I would make it solid... or bumblebee it with the black....

like this...

I'm not a fan of chrome...  My brush guard is black and the second I can get the spare time my chrome grill will be swapped for a black one...

i bought a takeoff from the dealer and shot it with a can of truck bed liner.  it matches the flat black of the brush guard.  not sure if it's in any of my gallery pics, but it looks much better than a yellow or chrome one.

Hey shorty, was that a chrome take off you shot?  If so, did you do any prepwork to it other than cleaning it off with alcohol!?  Looking to do this myself since my SMA brush guard hopefully will get delivered sometime before I die (NEVER do business with HummerPartsDirect by the way, sucks) ... also, what product did you use to shoot it!?

it was a chrome takeoff, and all i did was rub it (quite sensually) with some scothbrite, then shot it.  it's starting to chip now, and i think i'll scrub it again, use some krylon plastic flat black, then shoot it again.  it's next to impossible to get the chrome plating off.  but, i still have the old one, so i can put that on while i'm re-do-ing the other one.
