I know a few guys here have it, just wondering how tough of an install it is? I have all the tools but am disabled now and my hands don't last as long as they used to. Hopefully I can get it done in the driveway cause I can't see paying someone to bolt parts on....

Any ideas / shortcuts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike..

As you know, I did the Gibson system..It took about an hour and a half to two hours total...I had to jack up the right rear corner of the body to let the axle hang, to finagle the original stock system out over the top of the axle, in one piece..Once I was past that, it was a snap to install the Gibson..Use WD-40 on all the hanger rubbers to ease them off and on..That's where the use of your hands could become critical...Good luck mate.

PS; I would wrap a heavy towel or rag around the axle before you try pulling the stock muffler and pipe out the rear..it will save on tearing up the brake lines and stuff on top of the axle.

My pleasure Mike..lemme know if you need any extra help..

BTW..I painted all the U-bolts with high temp Rustoleum silver paint, to keep them from rusting.

Dennis, are those water spots on your axle housing?

Your undercarraige is so clean, it almost makes me sick looking at it. I mean, do you even drive that thing?

How is this exhaust? Did you notice any power gains? Is it fully stainless or aluminized?

I think it's great, sounds great, looks great..I can tell a response improvemnet was gained and with an Intake system there was a combined improvement..I got the aluminized model...The polished stainless was too pretty to hide underneath for the extra money.
