Where is the best deal on the magnaflow system for my 07 ' H3? I want the deal like hotrod got at $450 shipped. Does anybody know where I can get that price or close to that price?

OK, I just place an order through www.performancepeddler.com . I've never dealt with them before so I've got my fingers crossed everything will go OK.
It's a little strange- their price for the Magnaflow 16630 was $539. It said click here to make an offer, so I did. I offered $450. I immeidiately received an e-mail that said "Offer accepted". I said "damn" I should of went lower. But after checking several sites and retailers, it sounds like $450 is a good price. That price includes shipping. I called them on the phone and Dan told me that,that exhaust was a "big mover" and he would call Magnaflow and have mine drop shipped tommorow. I'll post and let everyone know how it went with this vendor. Has anyone done bussiness with them yet?[sm=signs003.gif]

Hey Z, don't expect to get a Borla for $450! I don't know why they are nearly double the Magnaflow but boy they are pricey. I'm sure they're very nice though.

Obie1- thanks for the help on the magnaflow for my H3. I made performance peddler an offer of $450 and they accepted with shipping free. I will post pictures when I receive the system and install.

[sm=icon_cheers.gif] Your Welcome! Hope they both arrive soon. In my younger days, I would have tackled the install myself. It should be fairly easy, however, I think I'm missing the most important tool for the job- a lift ! Don't happen to have one in my garage. You could do it without one, but for the price I paid for the exhaust,I can afford to pay my local mechanic(one hour labor-$84.50) to install it. With a lift he should be able to easliy take the stock system out in one piece and line up everthing nice on the new system, while I have a beer!Looking foward to this and other perfomance improvements![sm=signs003.gif]

OBie1 -  I am looking for the K&N cold air intake for my 07' H3. I know that the one that fits the 06' will not work. If you find out any info on the K&N let us know. I will let everyone know if I find out something.

ZX10R -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/22/2007 2:53:59 PM)

Yeah no Borla avail for 07 H3. I will  probably wait till Borla has a part # for the 07. Had Borla on my 05 Titan 4x4, awsome sound , no drone, etc.

Obie1 -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/22/2007 3:24:01 PM)

Rickey,
If I was as good as Dennis or LittleHummerboy, I would post a link to our previous posts on that subject.The bottom line is from K&N- "we do not make a FIPK for your vehicle".My guess is, at some point they will. My name is on the list(probably with many others) to be notified when they do.Feel free to add yours. Nick Peres from K&N told me the more requests they get for them,the more likely they would be to make them. However, there are other intakes available for the 07' H3. Yet another subject of previous posts.Ther are some good products out there and opinions are like ###holes,everyone got one.[:)]

HUMMER DRIVER -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/25/2007 7:36:20 PM)

I installed my Magnaflow Cat Back Exhaust (Twin Tips) this weekend on my 2007 H3.

Here's some pics below... I unbolted the stock exhaust from the front flange, worked my way back popping off the rubber damper/hangers one at a time and pulled the entire one piece system out the rear. Getting over the axle is a little tricky... You MUST lift the right frame in front of the rear wheel to get clearance. Be careful pulling it out. There is a brakeline going across the top of the axle and if you're careless you could damage the brakeline. I twisted the retaining band forward so the brakeline was flush with the axle as best I could.

It was pretty straight forward. The flange bolts are 15mm. you need a deep well socket to install the factory nuts on the Magnaflow pipe. They have longer studs than the factory studs.

The exhaust is nice and mellow, not as loud as I thought it might be. I've only done some tooling around town, haven't got it on the freeway yet so I can't tell you how quiet or loud it is at interstate speeds but I think it will be fine.

Here's a few pics.

Thats good stuff Hummer Driver. Nice job with the install and the pictures too! UPS says my intakes arives tommorow and my Magnaflow on wednesday,[:D] wooooo hoooo!

Dennis -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/25/2007 9:07:30 PM)

Looks good..How's it sound? ...Did you have any trouble with the hangers?[:)]

HUMMER DRIVER -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/25/2007 10:22:08 PM)

Dennis, it's actually quieter than I expected. It's a straight through exhaust system and I was worried it would rumble too much. It really doesn't, my wife said it didn't sound that different to her. I tooled around town a bit today, had my window down part of the time and I could tell a much deeper, mellower sound. Just right in my book. You do hear it when accelerating but once you're cruising it's pretty quiet.

Removing and installing the rubber hangers were the expected challenge. I dabbed some grease on the posts and rubber hangers and used a screwdriver to pry the hanger off the post while tugging on it with my other hand.

I did it by myself and it only took a couple of hours to remove and install.. It isn't easy getting the stock pipe out in one piece but like hotrodtom said, just jack it up on the frame in front of the rear tire and you'll have room to get it out between the axle and frame. If I had an extra set of hands I'm sure it would have been a little easier getting the stock exhaust out.

Thanks Obie1, you're gonna like yours too, really nice looking unit for the price. The tips are really nice with the etched logo on the top of the tips. Nice touch indeed. They say to run it of a few days and check the flange and pipe clamps. So far mine is working fine, not rattles or anything like that. It's surprising how rigid the exhaust is considering it only has two bolts at the front flange and just four rubber hangers to hold 7 feet of mufflers and exhaust pipes tucked up under the Hummer.

Dennis -> RE: Magnaflow system for H3 (3/25/2007 11:02:18 PM)

I used the screwdriver and grease bit too...What a pain...
I had the same effort to get my stock system out, I wrapped a towel around my axle so as to not screw up the brake lines....I had a set of feet and toes to help me too..LOL

Anyways, Like I said..Nice job..

I noticed in the forsale section this person selling his...seems like a good price..
