Uh-oh...is there a big difference between the '06 and '07?  Hope not...I just ordered this one which says it is for '06s AND '07s

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2006-2007-MAGNAFLOW-HUMMER-H3-DUAL-REAR-EXIT-EXHAUST_W0QQitemZ300120561987QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33630QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

but I paid $450...

OK found the answer to my own question...same part number for the 3.5 and 3.7 at Magnaflows site....WHEW!

Any more feedback from owners about the Magnaflow sound? I love the looks of the tips and the price is right. However, I really don't want any unwanted resonance/droning at all, and would also really like it to be near silent at 65-85 on the highway. Is the Magnaflow the one for all that?

Also, are there any dyno runs to show any improvement over stock? All they show on the website is flow bench results, which makes me think there is no improvement in torque/HP curves.

Thanks in advance.

Jeff,

Magnaflow is a non-restrictor exhaust system. No baffles, so the exhaust goes straight through the system and is muffled with holes and sound reduction around the tubing inside the mufflers. They are not very noticable at cruising speed. They give a mellow sound and you do notice it when you punch it but that's about it.

I don't have dyno figures but I cannot imagine this exhaust not help HP and/or torque due to it's non restrictive design. Remember engines are an air pump, more air in and out, more HP. So if you want the exhaust you will benefit more if you also do a high flow intake, preferrably a cold air intake and hell, while you're at it go ahead and talk to Kelly at PCMforless and get your PCM amped up. That's what I did and my H3 has a lot more snap on take off and doesn't feel near as sluggish as it used to ie: stock. BTW_ Mine is an 07. 65-70 on the freeways should sound nice, can't promise what it sounds like at 85, I don't run mine that fast.

If you want (ZERO) drone then dont get an aftermarket exhaust.  There is a drone with the Magnaflow exhaust. When you have your foot in he gas on the frwy you do hear a drone (in the rear area) in comparison to the stock setup .

When you let off the gas completely the drone goes away. It is a trade off, you get some drone (that you get used to) but you also get the beefy idle sound, slight growl and some really nice looking dual tips.

Thanks GreenH3, that is also very helpful. I do love the looks of the Magnaflow and like the idea of improved performance and efficiency, but got so tired of my loud sports car, even with the optional sound baffles in place.

Is there somewhere on this site that has a collection of sound recording of exhausts, both inside and outside the car? I used to have a 350Z and those websites were chock-full of that kind of stuff.
