I am thinking about getting my rear window tinted. Who has done this, and what level did you go with?  Do you get a bunch of reflection at night from your dash board / NAV unit on your tinted window when looking in the rear view mirror?

Also, did anyone tint their front windows?  Again, with what level?

Thanks in advance,
Trinity

Go as dark as you want on the back. I put 20% on mine and I think I should have went darker.

I do not get any glare on the back window at all. My fronts are 20% also.

Not really. They can pull you over if they feel like it. But I have not had a problem yet.

Im the owner of Darksydetint.com .... And let me be the first to tell you ANY tint you put on the rear window you are going to get the reflection off of the nav screen ... the darker you go the more reflection you are going to get ... the darker you go the more heat reduction you are going to get though ... and if reflection is a big concern to you .. you DO NOT want to get any metalized tint .. wich means it has metal sputered into the film for even more heat reduction but you will get a whole lot more reflection, almost like you are looking into a mirror .... but remember this is mostly only at night...
as for the tinting laws and regulations it actually varies from state to state ... here is a link that will help you out..
http://www.solargard.com/Assets/PDFs/Performance/StateTint%20%20Law%20Chart%209-18-07.pdf
as for the numbers on that page it stands for % ... 5% 10% 15% and so on ... the lower the number the darker the film is ... Reason why .. the percentage represents that transperancy ...
hope this helps a bit ...
any ? just ask ....
Oh yeah .. all of my windows including sunroof are tinted with 4% ceramic film ..( best there is out there right now )... even my whole windshield is tinted with 35 %
99% uv protection ... no longer have to use those ugly sunshades .. and don''t have to worry about my dash cracking or anything...
