My wife wants nerf bars to help her getting in /out of the H3 and I can't question any purchase that is pre-approved by my wife...but do those with nerf bars really use them to step up into the vehicle? I was looking at other H3's with them and it doesn't seem like they would help that much - you still have to step up pretty high. I'm am getting the stainless one with black step pad, but want to make sure they work for the wife. Any thoughts?

ABSOLUTELY! I could not even climb up into mine without those step assists and not look like a total clutz. They are a must for me since I wear skirts/dresses/heels regularly and am climbing in and out of my H3 numerous times a day and in front of other people. It just makes getting in much easier for all concerned. Beware of heels slipping off - in otherwords tell her to make sure she judges where she puts her foot if she is wearing heels. They also add to the appearance (having som sort of step assist whether rockers or tubulars) so why not have them?

I do not use it when climbing in/out but I am 6' tall; My wife uses them regularly when climbing into the passenger side. she is 5'5 and finds them to be invaluable. If I could do it all over however, I'd get the rock sliders with the removable steps. I think that it gives the H3 a nice look and would be more functionable for both on/off road use.

Is this from personal experience? LOLOL, sugar apparently you missed my previous post under my Opinions thread so in answer to your question I have pasted it below....and yes. I am speaking from experience! LOL Tex & ZYNE while it looks good...there will be NO jackin up of the ride! Considering I climb into it daily with 4-5 inch heels and a skirt (spiked heel fell off the step assist once as I was climbing in <LOL> and I about fell out the door on my (_(_) as well as twisted my ankle badly and I feel quite sure my skirt was up around my neck and I hope NO ONE was looking and LTAO!!! LOL)...not to mention some of my clients already can't figure out how to climb up into it (for some reason ??? she is a bit higher already then some of the H3's that I looked at on the lot while shopping.)
