Although since I got my Air Compressor now I just use it to blow all the water off!

For years I've been using my Homelite leaf blower..I wash the car, pull it into the garage to avoid sundried water spots and then give it a good blow job and then wipe it down with ICE detailer and a bunch of MF towels..

Picked up a bag of them at PepBoys this weekend past.. 25, 14x14 for $9.99

I am extremely detailed about washing my cars and their care. I found this website, http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc, quite a while ago and found that there "Tips & Tricks" and "FAQ" section extremely informative. I am in no way affiliated with the site and have never used their products. The product is obviously for show cars and may be overly cautious for most.

However, since reading this I have stopped using my Absorber/Chamios and I am extremely careful about the MicroFiber cloths I use on my vehicles. I only use nice fluffy white towels to wash and dry my car. It made a lot of sense that if dirt gets trapped on the Absorber and I continue to dry the car it is scratching the surface. I only use quality white towels, and if dirts gets on it while I am washing or drying, at least the cushioning in the towel is taking away some of the pressure against the car.

I also use one bucket for soap/water and a rinse bucket with clean water. It makes sense that if you soak your washing rag in dirty water you are basically washing the car with the dirt you washed off. Oh well...just my .02 on car care.

In my personal opinion and experience..There is nothing easier and more scratch proof than Micro-fiber towels..I use them on about anything and everything that I care about NOT scratching..For example, the Plastic lens on the Speedo cluster is about the first thing to get scratched when wiping off lint and cough and or sneeze spit with a typical terri-cloth towel..With Micro-Fiber, it never scratches and cleans perfectly.

When it comes to washing...a Micro-fiber washing mitt is the way to go.

I personally have not had any problems with the Micro-Fiber cloths that I have and still use them on my vehicle. I was just pointing out that some are better quality than others.
