Opinions please....I have chosen to keep my H3 all black accessory-wise and have'nt done a lot to really bling her out BUT would like to do a few little things that just make her a tad different than the standard non accessorized model LOL.

Black H3 logo surrounds (such as Gstyle sells) cheesy...or good?

Take a piece of black construction paper and make your own, using an internet pic as a reference.  Tape it to your truck, and stand back and take a look.  It should give you a good impression.  If you like it, stuff from Gstyle is top notch.

I'm not a fan of non-functional bling and the H3 logo surrounds fall into that catagory for me.  However, I did break down and buy the little polished stainless steel Hummer letters that fit in the front bumper.  Without them installed, it looked like the factory forgot something during assembly.

What about adding a brush guard and driving lamps?  They'll make a big difference in the look of your truck.  Granted, it can be expensive but you may get some payback at trade in time.  Another idea that's almost free (you'll need an alignment) is to do the 2 1/2 turns on the torsion bar trick.  It's just enough to be noticeable and will make your truck stand taller than the rest.

Is the torsion bar thing real? If so can you explain how to do it?

Yes ... lift the front end up, crank the torsion bars the SAME amount, assuming your truck is level that is LOL!  Let her back down, get an alignment and presto ..

I say, Go for it.  I like the looks and I also like to make my vehicle stand out a little more than that of the one next door.  I just installed window vents and a new stubby antenna and cover.

Ok this is going to probably be a very dumb question but..... I don't know what that torsion bar is, or where it is at, or what kind of tools I will need to do this.  Can you give me a little bit more information.  It sounds like a cool deal. Thanks in advance

LOL Tex & ZYNE while it looks good...there will be NO jackin up of the ride!  Considering I climb into it daily with 4-5 inch heels and a skirt (spiked heel fell off the step assist once as I was climbing in <LOL> and I about fell out the door on my
(_(_) as well as twisted my ankle badly and I feel quite sure my skirt was around my neck and I hope NO ONE was looking and LTAO!!! LOL)...not to mention some of my clients already can't figure out how to climb up into it (for some reason ??? she is a bit higher already then some of the H3's that I looked at on the lot while shopping.)  Thanks yet again ALL for some other fine ideas and input tho!

Wifey,

The black out look is cool. My parents have a slate blue H3 and have added black step bars, gas cover, brush guard. Looks very good .

But for me..................Chrome is the way to go
