Hello - I would love to hear from anyone who has had a less than plesant experience in purchasing their Hummer from this dealership. My experience in trying to purchase an H3 was incredibly shady. Thanks...

I went to Greenbrook GMC Hummer back in Nov '06 and it was a disgusting experience. I blame it on the Truck Sales Manager, not the salesperson. I had a valid GM Supplier discount # and they tried to add thousands to the final price and could not give me a straight answer as to what the charges were. Then they tried to switch me into an '06 instead of the '07. They were sneaky, slimy, and dishonest. My understanding is that they have only had the HUMMER name for abbout 6 months. I would suggest using Perrine GMC HUMMER in East Windsor, NJ - I can give you the name of the Sales Associate that I used (if you want it)- he was easy to work with, honest, and made the buying experience a total pleasure. I'd use him again if I was buying another. Greenbrook was so revolting that I wanted to file a complaint with HUMMER corporate.......but you know how that goes.

ORIGINAL: importkiller Greenbrook Hummer GMC was a good dealer to me when I went there. The salesman even wrote down a bogus final price number so that I could get the idiot at the dealership I went to down in price And they have a crapload of trucks to choose from too! When I bought my dodge ram I actually went there to test drive a used H2, they were again really cool to talk to. ...consider yourself fortunate.

Didn't really get a chance to deal with them too much - got a quote and the salesguy immediately told me the invoice price, which I found to be rather fishy (don't they usually want to hide the invoice price from you?), and a price above the invoice... on doing some research, I realized that the invoice price quoted was way above what it should be?! Hmm... a lying salesman, should I be surprised? Anyways, in the end, bought from Hummer of Turnersville. I recommend the place, no problems whatsoever (not yet anyways!). Folks were pleasant. The other place I would avoid is Royal.

I bought mine up at Paramus Hummer, which is now Hummer of Mahwah since they opened a new standalone hummer dealer. Parts are pricey but the service and sales experience was first rate. I also went to Royal Cadillac Hummer when the H3 first came out in '05 and was treated very nicely.

Never been to any of them.. But have bought 2 from 2 different Hummer dealerships.. (As well as other new cars in my life).. LYNCH HUMMER in St. Louis has been the BEST by FAR!

Well, I almost joined the ranks of becoming an H3 owner... Green Brook located a vehicle for me in MD, and did a trade with that dealership. They even installed the roof marker lights that I wanted. But... when we were getting the paperwork and payment amounts in place, they hit me with a whammy - an additional $408 for LAM Dealer Contribution PLUS $1225 for LAM Group Contribution. I had previously offered (and we had shaken on) the Edmunds "True Market Value" amount - that did NOT include these dealer to manufacturer "contributions." Oddly, Edmunds also indicated that "participating" dealers are receiving $1500 back from Hummer PER CAR until sometime in October as part of a marketing promo. So let's see - this dealership was going to end up charging me $1100 above Edmunds TMV! I must have been wearing my "Idiot Face" and I didn't even realize it. BTW- If a dealer pulls out a BARS Document Display, indicating "the true invoice price", run. It certainly won't agree with KBB or Edmunds. Unfortunately, no signed paperwork was in place before the actual purchase (maybe this was an omen afterall, since I had not yet put down anything.) My recommendations - stay away from this dealership! It seems that these folks' business practices haven't changed since the OP. I've also been to Royal, Mahwah, and Gold Coast, with different but bad dealings. I'm hoping that my experiences with Hummer dealers will improve out of state, 'cuz I've never had such bad experiences buying a vehicle (this will be my 8th vehicle purchase within NJ since '82. None have been this bad!) At this point I'm giving up on NJ Hummer dealers and will be looking to purchase out of state. Other folks within NJ may want to consider doing the same. I'll update everyone on my experience with an out-of-state purchase when I finally have my H3 Alpha in my driveway.
