Like everything else, there are people who have good and bad things to say about this item.  But for $50 installed, you really can't go wrong.  If it make an improvement, $50 well spent.  If it doesn't, then a good lesson learned, and you can share your experience here, and probably still find someone to give you some money for it.  I say, go for it!

Assuming you get 15 mpg .. so for every 15 miles you save a gallon of gas ... at $2.50  a pop .. after 300 miles of "normal" driving yes ... then lets add the fact that it adds a few ponies worth of power .. thus requiring more fuel to do so ... then you get used to the slightly more responsive truck .. so you push it a lil harder ... by the time everything is said and done you'd have to drive 15K miles before it paid for itself LOL!  In all seriousness though ... enjoy ..seems like a hell of a good deal .. paid damn near 400 for my 77 series FIPK when they first came out ... speaking of which .. anyone got a $50 dollar bargain on those!?!? :)

first impression  is  good
its not as loud as the K&N we had on the 06
seems like it runs better  its no turbo tho
i filled up  tonight  so we'll check the mpg and see
if  its gonna work out
i have checked 3 tanks sofar and its  always between 14.5 and 15 mpg
i hoping for 16mpg now [:D]

I have also been checking into the AIRAID products. I am especially curious about Throttle Body Spacer:
http://www.airaidsales.com/prod.asp?ProductID=45&Product=2006+HUMMER+H3+AIRAID+Throttle+Body+Spacer

As well as the Intake:

I have been leaning toward the K&N because it comes in black and I am not looking to Bling out my engine bay with chrome, red or silver so this fits with the theme I want, just would like more info on performance.

Could you post some pics of how it looks in the engine bay? Appreciated.
