I gave  the 2 guys who brought my big screen TV up stairs a $30 tip and when I called Sears to tell them what a great job they did carrying a heavy large TV up very narrow, steep stairs. Sears said they were going to fire both of them for accepting a tip. And they were fired despite my pleas.Guess it would not be the same here?

Sounds like it went against corporate policies .. most places have them.  Personally I think it should be up to the customer to decide if THEY want to tip or not .. the fact that they got fired only confirms my hatred for that type of business .. it being Sears doesn't surprise me either ... Nothing like being fired for going the extra mile, giving the company you work for a good enough face towards their customer to where they feel compelled to tip their employees for a job well done .. .... and people wonder why I hate the corporate world ... *rolls eyes*

Yep, nowadays I do but when I first bought it they were free the first 3 times/changes :-)  They have actually gone up from 34.99 to 39.99 but for what they do I'd easily spot a $50 and feel like I got a good deal out of it.  I talk a lot to Mike, one of the service managers down there; and their take on customers and their service is if we spend 60-150K on a vehicle then gawd damnit we'll make sure they get the best service we can provide.  Just like every other dealer would tell you .. difference here is, they REALLY live up to it.  They take so much pride in their vehicles and their capabilities they will stand behind them 200%, this just based on my experiences with them.
The dealer also organizes outings, for example the South Bend driving academy, Reds bball outings to where they have 40-60 HUMMER's caravaning from the dealer down to the field.  Cops block off the streets to let us through as a group etc .. this of course FREE to me ... They also give away one or two freebie's to South Bend every year .. hopefully I'll win one someday LOL!

My suggestion would be in the future for anyone..by all means call and sing the praises but fail to mention the tip part because many corporations DO have no tipping policies. Besides it is no one else's business who and when we choose to tip!

Well it's a crying shame that GM and the dealer (at least here) doesn't stand behind their H3 in the same manner! GM has lied and lied to me and treated me like SH*T! Guess it's because it's a $30K-$40K vehicle instead and we are not as important!

I think a lot of this has to with the dealer and how they opt to approach the customer service bit.  I know mine for example don't question "off road damage" and will perform warranty repairs assuming it's still covered.  All the while another dealer in this area has treated at least one customer I know with "off road damage" like crap and simply refused the warranty coverage because of it.  In this case the person went to GM who actually stood up for him but I've heard of others basically left out to dry ... Seems to be a hit and miss kind of game ...
In any case it sucks they have treated you like crap .. hopefully you have another dealer in your area you can go to and maybe get some better service!  And for what it's worth, my dealer does not treat the H3's as a lesser vehicle and the owners get the same treatment as me and my H2 .. this just based on what I see while I wait on my truck to get done ..
