I just saw a new H3 with a Nav unit that allows both the nav dvd and cd's at the same time.. the face actually drops to allow a nav disc in a second slot... wondering if anyone knows if 2007-8 H2's will be coming with them as well? (Same size) I just factory ordered my H2 and cant find anything out.

if going aftermarket, i'd be sorely tempted to get a NAV unit with a hard drive = no disc = no scratched disc = no preposterous fee for a new disc.

I have a 07' H2 with factory nav and it is a single slot. I think it's stupid but what do you want from GM.

It was a factory unit in the new H3x... 2007... looked almost 100% like the regular unit, but I noticed an opening around the whole unit. you hold the eject button for 12 seconds and it pops open. very nice. hopefully a regular item on all new production units.

All H3 Navs are that way -- they have two separate slots.  Although, I think the way the whole front of the radio 'pops' forward is asking for problems.  My guess is that the 08 H2s will have a system that you can use the navigation, and CD player at the same time.  I agree -- it sucks to have a brand new 07 H2 w/ nav and Hummer doesn't have a solution yet.  I'm sure the mid-cycle enhancement for 08 will bring change...

Yep, this is the type of remote unit (6-disc CD changer) that my H2 came with as well, but the changer is mounted to the floor under the left/rear seat instead of in the glove box. The DVD/MP3 changer is mounted within the center console along with the FM modulator control device.
