Driving a bus would be great!  I admire professional drivers (the good ones at least) and it's great to know someone who trains people to drive the big rigs safely and responsibly!   I firmly believe that the general publc are not required to learn how to drive adequately.  I for one would like to see stricter testing, and more training for ALL drivers.  END RANT

I teach The Smith System of Defensive Driving and if all drivers practiced this system there would be no accidents ... NO accidents!!!

1. Aim high in steering
2. Get the big picture
3. Keep your eyes moving
4. Leave yourself an out
5. Make sure they see you.
I might have the order wrong on a couple of them, but I remeber that from my CDL learning days, 10 years ago. I have never been in an accident or incident, but have prevented several.

It's a toss up between this and the vessel captain, in my book, being the most unique job in this post so far.  I wonder if my sister's ship gets any ammo from you   I don't think destroyers fire missiles though.

Speaking of which, anybody ever check out the missle silos in Colorado/Nevada? If you ever drive down the highways, you can see them off the sides of the road.  They have two concrete sliding doors on the ground and this little tiny shed with a door.  Pretty cool!
