ORIGINAL: weaponsgalore Just curious as to what members do in the real world for occupations........ I work in the internet business! I did graphic design for several years but now I'm a glorified telephone answerer in a nursing home...Most of the time though I just sit at the computer and surf..hahahha...

ORIGINAL: jdrew I hate cops.. lol I had a cop pull me over 2 weeks after I bought my H2. He said he "thought" I was on the cell phone. I told him the only person I talk to on my cell was sitting next to me so no - I wasn't on the cell. Then he said he "thought" my windows were tinted too dark. I said "look, first you "thought" I was on my cell, now you "think" my windows are too dark...which one is it. The windows came tinted from the factory and it's only the rear passenger windows. The front ones are not tinted at all. He actually had me step out of the vehicle. He NEVER asked for my license or registration.. not once. Then he said "well, I'm not going to give you a ticket".. and I told him he can't give me a ticket because there wasn't anything to give me a ticket for. And I don't drink so that couldn't be the reason...Then he tried to pick a fight with my boyfriend... I live in a very small town and the 2 cops we have don't have much to do. But this was a rent-a-cop for the weekend - still don't know what his problem was.....

Gotto love being hassled .. went through that back when I drove the Avalanche ... I never give them slack and whenever threatened with a ticket I always say yes please, and hand over my license. I've never been ticketed for anything but speeding and a loud stereo ages and ages and ages ago. These hassle stops I have no respect for and I will give what I get in that scenario. I have no problems going to court for it ... Small weinered high school bullies with a badge (no offense to your REAL cops here), a gun, a set of handcuffs, and the SAME BAD ATTITUDE as when they were in school .. no thanks ... I will do the same thing you did ... sling it right back in their faces!! And if the windows were illegally tinted .. how could he possible have seen you talking on a cell!???

That's what I was wondered at the time too. Was really irritating. Isn't the first thing they are supposed to ask for is your license and registration? Then they are supposed to tell you why they pulled you over. He did none of those. I had to ask why repeatedly. Should have just backed over him and been done with it..hahahhaha

True... but I would have felt sooo much better..hahhahahah... If your going to pull someone over - have a legitimate reason and be professional - otherwise leave me alone

My point exactly ... You get what you give .. the door swings both ways. I'll be nice and curteous if I receive the professionalism the job really do require. The sad part is that most cops are really good people, in uniform and not! Then you end up with one like the highschool bully who pulled you over and they give every single cop a bad name as a result ... I still say the nicest cop who ever pulled me over was the Officer who pulled me for *ahem* 99 in a 55 zone and yet wrote me down to 74 so I didn't have to go to court ... it was Sheriff actually ... only time I've never had a problem being addressed with my 1st name while getting a ticket lol ... granted ... he was soo far behind me by the time he got in his car I had enough time to pull to the side of the freeway, kill the engine, get my papers out, light a smoke and start eatin' carmel popcorn before he even pulled up behind me ... lol Said he appreciated not having to chase me down and will write it down so I only got a ticket ... that two way door thing really works :-)
