Soo .. the recent snowfall here offered some opportunities to horse around in the resulting piles .. needless to say I jumped on the opportunity .. this pic was taken about 2 minutes before security at my job made me stop.  I was told I was negating the plowing effort and costing them additional money for dragging a bunch of snow back out, this in a parking lot that is barely used, let alone where the snow was piled up.
As this was my 5th "offense" in 2 years it not only landed me a verbal warning from our security folks but I also got me a written warning and got to spend some time in HR getting "lectured" .. this from playing around in some snow ... thank gawd I'm on my way out of there ... The only thing that pissed me off was the fact that I never had a chance to do my parking job on top of the enormous pile as I had planed ... I did make it most of the way ... my buddy Rob also got a verbal warning, I guess for being guilty by association in taking the pic .. total BS!

Give a man a tin star and he thinks he is a god. The only thing bigger than his ego is the ral cop with the real power. When I was a rent-a cop (one of many jobs after high school) I was armed with a pad of paper and a ball point pen. If you weren't careful, I'd get your discription. What a joke.

Hey guess what...being a cop isn't about having power...it's about paying bills.

Rut....Tell me something then..what would you rather be doing?.... I bet your answer will still be the same.."A Cop".. I know you...You had a calling to protect and serve and this cop job fulfills that itch to be dedicated to your community....I know for a fact that cops are way the hell under paid and the main reason they are a cop is because they are dedicated to the cause and service to hapless dipshits like me in need of your help from time to time....

Bite me...About paying bills my foot!

I was well on my way to getting my degree in biology and hopefully, eventually my PhD in Biomedical Studies.  Lets just say some life events happened and I had to get a job relatively quickly.  In some respects your right....I always felt a calling to serve my community and had fiddled around with the idea of police work, but I never pursued the career until I was pressed to find work.  Sure...being a Popo can be very rewarding and a part of me enjoys the job very much, but it wasn't part of my original plan.  I certainly didn't become a cop because of the "power" that people think police officers have.  That's neither here nor there...I'm doing the job now and for the most part I like it.  I justed started going back to college last month and I only have about two more semesters left.
