and it really sucks.  got a P0300 code, indicating a misfire, that was really noticable if i put my foot into it from a stop.  took her in this morning around 9:30.  2 knock sensors, an injector flush, new intake hose, and it's still doing it.  my baby is sleeping in someone else's garage tonight    not that she sleeps in the garage here (too tall), but it still SUCKS   gotta say the dealership has been awesome though, getting everything covered under warranty for me and offering to eat the labor on one item that initially wasn't going to be covered (GM changed their minds eventually).

That sucks..  But, sounds like they are taking care of you, and putting all kinds of new stuff.

If they replaced the plugs, did the injectors and corrected any air entering after the MAF, and all the other basic stuff, then it could get expensive for them

Weird they replaced the knock sensor, normaly that would tag the light by it's self.

Keep us informed.

haven't heard of a head/valve issue on the H2.  only use Chevron, i try to stay away from the one-off stations as much as i can unless i'm not going to make it to the next exit.  the manual gives all kinds of suggestions - worn serpentine belt, bent drive shaft, and even worse things that i can't remember right now.  hopefully i'll get it back tomorrow and i'll be able to share what the problem was.

no loaner, since we didn't think it would take this long.  and my dealership doesn't do loaners, or at least not for people that didn't buy from them (like me).  i didn't want a rental, so i'm running on shoe leather right now.  i've only been married for 5 1/2 years this go around, so i'm not completely hummerless, like you guys that have been married for a longer time . . . . .

it could be the cause mark.  they had to replace one part in the engine because of rust, when they tried to take it off i guess it disintegrated.  all warranty baby . . . . . i love my service writer, she always does me right.

Maybe if you changed the oil more then once a year, you'd be OK

i found out this morning that the bus will run somewhat normally on 6 cylinders, until you step on it.  they found one cracked plug this morning (still originals, they didn't replace them yesterday) and one wire worn and shorting to the engine.  parts are cheap, but labor costs suck.  still, i'll probably make that cost back in improved mileage (i should have better mileage than IK after this).  they saved the original knock sensors for me to see, the service writer was laughing when she said i really needed to see what they looked like.  i think i'll have to do a better job at cleaning the crud off the engine from now on .  it will never look like big-D's, but it won't be light brown anymore.  hopefully she'll be sleeping at home tonight . . . . .
