ORIGINAL: LawWyfe My theory is and I know y'all don't subscribe to it unless you walk in these shoes...but...would I, as a LE officer want to have to walk up to a car with windows tinted so dark you cannot see what you are walking up to? NO (And I don't want the hubby to have to do so either!) Therefore, I choose to abide by that...could I have gone darker with no repercussions? I am sure! And I don't chide those who do do it..but think of it in these terms as well. [:)] I hear ya. On the (few) occasions that I've been pulled over, I've rolled both my window and the window behind me all the way down and placed the ignition keys on the dashboard directly in front of the steering wheel- this is done on the advise of a buddy who is a cop. He said that this way the approaching officer is confident that you pose much less of a threat to harm him or flee. I have never gotten a speeding ticket as of yet and I truly believe that consideraton for the cop has played a part in it........I still wish that NJ State Troopers weren't such hard-asses or I'd tint my windows too.
