If the suspension is stock can you run 20's or do you have to have a lift?  If you run 20's is it so that you have no rubber on the sidewall? I really like the look and I dont think this will see off road so that is not a concern, but I hate just having 1/2 inch of rubber around the tire, I think it looks silly.  Good on sports cars not on 4X4's.  Thanks in advance.

Doesn't matter if you with a 16" rim or a 30" rim, the total outside diameter of the rim/tire combo must be 35" or less to fit stock, a slight turn of the t-bar may be needed depending on wheel offset.

IK what set up do you have on yours?  I really like the stance.  Thanks for such a quick reply.  DO you know of  a place I could go to check tire sizes and things like that?

When the Woman wants the Woman gets.  She is the one that wanted the H3.  I had no idea what I was missing, oh yeah and she loves it too.

I have 35x12.5x17. I hate rims over 17" and feel they are better on a two wheel drive lowrider than on one of the most capable 4x4's built[;)]

if you want to go 20" look for a 35x12.5x20 tire, that will give you the most sidewall that you can get.

What do you own?  If you don't mind me asking.  I tried to convince my woman to get an H3, but she aint into it.  I may have to get rid of her...haha![:D][:D][:D]

Actually I traded my 3/4 ton pickup for it.  Funny thing is part of the reason was for the little boost in gas mileage.  Turns out the H3 gets the same as a 360 Dodge!!!!  Who knew??  So now she has the H3 and I am kinda left with nothing but we also have an 03 Eclipse GTS (hers also).  But sometimes I get to drive the Hummer.  Just take her to the test track and let her ride in front, thats what did it for me.  I think its one of the things that you love or hate, but if you hate it just drive it and you will love it.

This might be a silly question but is it easy to turn the torsion bars or should a pro do it?  I know it needs alignment afterwards, but would it be better for them to do it all at once?

This was relayed to me from a buddy so if it's wrong then don't kill me, but....A buddy of mine marked the bolt and the frame in the same location and then just counted the number of times the two markings met and did the same thing on the other side.  I think he did 2 to 3 turns to make his H3 level.  If for some reason this doesn't make sense then I'd revert back to the ever wise ImportKiller for this question. From what my buddy said it seemed very easy.

Turnin the t-bars is very very easy and anyone can do it in about 5 minutes. You don't need to lift the front end, just crawl under the truck (go under the drivers and passenger door are). Look up and you will see a big bolt head, using a 1 1/8 (If I remember right) socket turn teh head clockwise three turns each side. This will level off the front. Some have gone as many as 6-8 turns but 3 turns should be all you need.

Importkiller is the man when it comes to wheel/tire questions. I just installed 18 x 9 Helo Maxx 6's and 35 x 12.50 - 18 Nitto Mud Grapplers on my H3. It really gave the truck a badass look. Will post pics soon. My biggest concern after the first tire was mounted and was checked out for clearance was whether that big-ass heavy tire would fit on the rear spare rack. As it turned out fitment was not a problem and there is about a 1/2" of clearance on each side of the tire where it fits in the bumper groove. Now if the back door doesn't fall off all well be well. I should mention that I did have to crank on the T-bars to get the clearance needed. And as other post have stated it is not hard to do. I should also mention that I lost about 4 mpg, and at 70 mph it sounds like a Japanese zero on a dive-bombing run. LOL
