So the wife and me work TOGETHER Fri. Nites at one of my video stores. She ALWAYS goes in early as I'm a SlAcKeR, so we take each of our vehicles.

Anyhoo, the weather yesterday was FRICKEN FREEZING. It was -32(-49 with the windchill) last nite and where we park, we have nowhere to plug in.

The wife started her Escalade like 4 times during the nite to WARM IT UP, me ZERO times on the H2!

So come closing time 11:30pm, I use my Compustar car starter and VROOOM, my rig starts like it's summer time....Not so much for the Escalade. Dead In The Water!!! Even tried jump starting it....NOPE....FROZEN!!!! Had to call GM roadside assistance to tow her to the Dealership!!! They're so BUSY, it's a 16 hour wait!!!

Escalade =

H2 =

I test drove both before buying my 2006 h2, and there was no comparison, the escalade wobbled to much in high winds while on the express way.  H2 was steady, unlike the escalade.

She probably drained the battery going out and cranking it up so many times..but never let it run long enough to replenish the juice she kept cranking out of it...Tsk! typical woman

Exposed Skin can freeze in like 5 MINUTES. Basically, you LAYER, LAYER, LAYER...Make sure you have toasty Mitts and wear a balaclava  Or be a DumbAss like me and wear a Harley Davidson Leather Jacket with matching Gloves and a backward baseball cap and RUN from the H2 into my store!!!

Worse part of this weather (we haven't been this cold since 2005) is so many people come in the stores with balaclavas, you think your GETTING ROBBED!!!

So Bob, I gotta ask the obvious since I have wondered for awhile LOL.  How's come you hang out on an H3 site (since you own an H2)??? Do you just like us that much? (Well excluding me that is, since you were here LONG before me LOL)  My experiences thus far here have been that H2 folks seem to think we H3 folk are wannabes who are beneath them.  Just a question not meant to offend since you obviously add to this forum   PS...I have a remedy for the Escalade problem...MOVE SOUTH! HAHAHAHA

H3 site?   No, no, no,  this is a Hummer site.   Although you H3's out number us H2'ers by a lot.  There is no looking down on H3's here. I like them, and plan on getting one to keep the H2 company in the future.    We are all here for the same reasons...................We love Hummers and this site has a great group of people.

LOL Stang I meant H3 section rather (I know this is a Hummer site)...you both post on it too..I was just curious and no disrespect was intended as you both add to it greatly ..I was just curious as I said because I have gotten comments from H2'rs down here -meaning where I am from (as well as others)
as follows giving me the impression they don't care for us LOL.

"Oh the H3 just looks like a jeep"
"H3 is for those p**sies who cant own (afford, etc) an H2"
"Wannabes"

etc etc etc

Although our local dealer sells both, we rented a fully-optioned '06 'Escalade' last year for a trip into LA (the city). The 'Escalade' drove fine, had all of the creature comforts, and had plenty of power, as well as giving us our first experience with XM satellite radio. We had really thought about purchasing an 'Escalade' as one of our next additional vehicles, but eventually opted for the H2 shortly after our initial 'test drive'. I had always wanted an H2 and don't regret making the decision whatsoever, as it too has all of the creature comforts, has more leg/shoulder/hip room, and can also take us comfortably off-road whenever we so desire.

BTW, what's that padded device located atop the H2's battery...a battery heater and/or something similar? Thanks.
