We have quite a few here.  It's hilarious to see them on a lot, as it looks like a shriners convention.  They get around 70mpg, and are cheap to buy.  But I've driven one and YIKES.  It...is..scrary.  The people I know who own, love them however.  We just had some local city bylaw this summer needing changing because the owners of the Smart cars would parallel park sideways to all the other cars (like a motorcycle) and the bylaw officers gave 'em tickets for illegal parking.  It caused quite a ruckus.

My Mom drives a car a little bigger than this, but still small, called a Nissan Scargo.  It's hilarious, looks like a snail.  In fact, the hubcaps even have little snails on them.
