Just wanted to pass some info on to my brother and sister Hummer owners. I kept getting these dang GMAC Insurance forms in the mail, asking if I wanted to switch to there company. Anyways long story short I called and switched saved $300 every 6 months on my car insurance. Car Insurance is high out west not sure about midwest or back east. Hope this is good info for you all.

Coverage:

100,000
300,000

Property Damage 100,000

Speaking of insurance, make sure that you ask if your Company gives a discount for Onstar, mine gave me about a $100.00 per year discount.  After all is said and done my H3 is only costing us $283.00 per six months.

This is very true..I don't have Gmac insurance..and I am Paying $252.00 per six months on my H3, but I will still check it out..but I don't think it will beat the price I am paying now.

Heck, mine is only $256 every six months.  Course I get a age over 50 discount, safe driver discount (no accidents in 25+ years), multi line discount.  State Farm

250,000/500,000 liability
50,000 property damage
150,000 No Fault medical
$1,000 Deductable Collison & Comp-full glass coverage
250,000/500,000 Uninsured/underinsured motorist

No discount for OnStar as they say it is easily defeated by thiefs.  They only offer a discount for LoJack, but there are no PD's around here that use that.

I am a little lower than you at $428 ever 6 months in Ohio with State Farm and that includes a multicar discount & safe drver discount! Progressive was about $200 higher. Don't like them anyhow.

I have no idea what we pay for insurance

My wife handles most of the bills and that's one of um. She always looks for the best deal and loves to save money, so I'm sure we are getting a good deal.

I ended up going online to get a quote from GMAC. Hell they were more than $300 more than what I am at right now. They're quote for me for 6 months was $763. That is just ridiculous. I have no tickets or accidents. I just don't get why it would be so high. I put in exactly the same coverage I have now too.
