just to clarify, if you turn off StabiliTrak, then you also turn off the traction control.  per page 4-8 of the 08 manual, "If you press and hold the TC button for five seconds, the StabiliTrak system and the traction control system will turn off."  also, StabiliTrak is automatically disabled when engaged in 4-lo.  however, i did not find anything that says the TCS automatically shuts off when in 4-lo, though i assume the same thing happens.

its all in the manual guys...

Why would you want to do that?  It saved my bacon in a slide in the snow that would have taken me into a deep gulley.  It straightened my H3 out and only left my heart pounding.

Turn it off in DEEP snow.  If you are on a snow packed/ice covered road, leave it on!    Like I said.............turn it off when off roading in deep sand or deep snow.
