hello fellas ,, looking to add some performance to an H1 ... any suggestions thanks

I'd suggest upgrading your fuel lifters and purchasing the modded CPU for your machine that will add some more performance and always a good start.. as you want more performance and spend more money maybe look for performance mufflers or even the intercooler kit... there was alot of things I have seen just browsing the net that would upgrade performance for 6.5L Diesels or even the 6.6L Duramaxx if your lucky enough to own one of them...
I would post links but dont want to pissed off our sponsers but maybe tonight when I get some time ill visit some of our sponsers and see if they have any performance options for the H1

thanks Injunfarian ,, I have a 2003 h1 with 6.5 with only 22000 miles on it ..I'd rather get the input before doing anything to it ,,,,

very nice rig.... as for me getting some performance links to our sponsers I had trouble finding any performance parts for H1's so I will just give you the names of various parts and let you find a source for them yourself just so sponsers are happy but yea... first thing i definately would do is the Computer Upgrade(PCM Programming) there is one called MAX E-Tork System.
its about 800 USD and if you buy that you can accessorize that with Turbo Master which is a waste gate controller for your turbocharger to fix some factory problems and give you an extra boost
and as I said before you should check or upgrade your fuel lifter and this kit suggest High Output Fuel Injectors then you increase you power more with some cooling to the system with a PMD Isolator
I found this whole package online for 1,546 USD it says you get about 110hp and 170lbs of torque out of it which isnt bad for the price.

Also another thing I really suggest is the cooling flow addon which will give cooling to the #7 and #8 cylinders not too much performance but still good idea if you want to keep your engine healthy

Another addon is Hummer H1 Aluminum Intercooler which they say "Adds over 40hp and 50 ft lbs of torque and reduces engine temperature by 15 degrees." which is a bit pricey at 4485 USD

Another addon is an Hummer H1 4" Exhaust System 96-04 which will increase the flow and should give you a bit of performance gain price: 795 USD

Now this isnt really a performance gain but it has to do with performance and will be an neat addon and that a boost guage will tell you how much boost (in psi) your engine is getting from the turbo. its about 217 USD

Thats about it that I could find for the H1 im sure there is a bit more out there but this would definetly be a good start...
