my son was looking at my truck in the driveway and said it looks crooked then measured it and sure enough it's 1" off left to right. I called the dealer and they said they would look at it but also said that 3/4" off is OK by GM standards so i'm like WTF can the general be that f*%ked up that making trucks 3?4" of an inch off is OK, I hope not has anyone else had this problem?
thanks

How is it crooked? left to right doesn't paint a picture for me..Can you post some pictures about what you're seeing?

The front of  mine was a good 1 1/2" higher on the right than the left when I got it..  They'll either crank the low side Torsion bar up or the high side down and SHOULD do an alignment..   FWIW..  Tell them to RAISE the low side rather than drop the high side..

Even after the dealer got through with mine I was still a good 1/2" high on the right..   So I took matters into my own hands and jacked both sides up another 3" or so and leveled the front out...

i'll get some pics but the passenger side is lower then the drivers side. i've got no issue with things that need to be fixed i was just shocked that they said GM would say it's OK if it's within 3/4".

It's called the GM lean   I think everything GM lets come out of the factory does this.

My H3 looks a bit lower on the drivers side rear than passenger's side. Jeep had the same thing, though I don't think the Durango did.

Okay now I understand..Yes it's a matter of a slight torsion bar adjustment like Crash has said..Nothing serious at all..

tortion bar adj. will correct this but they all have some slight lean. left side has the fuel tank on it so you will see less lean to the truck when the tank is near empty than you do when it is full.

I’m glad to see it’s not just me……I finally had to put some numbers to what my eyes seemed to be seeing.
(Perfect time to measure since I had to fuel up this evening)

Here is my tale of the tape:

Measured from the center of the axle to the bottom of the fender lip.

With just 3 gals in the tank:

DSF 22.00”                 PSF 22.75”
DSR 25.00”                 PSR 25.50“

Full Tank

DSF 21.75”                 PSF 22.75”
DSR 24.50”                 PSR 25.50”

While the differences are slight numerically, visually they are quite noticeable.

BTW: Average MPG after 12 tanks of mostly highway driving is 16.5 – I Got an 80 mph lead foot.

Taking it in to the dealer in the morning for some wind noise, driveline clunk and a pesky rough idle.

They said they would address this issue as well.  (I’m having them crank the TB’s and do an alignment)

Looks like Sewell Hummer did a good job:

T-Bars got cranked, alignment is spot on and the Z-Line measurements are proportionate.

Again, this is measured from the center of the axle to the fender lip completely fueled..

Old

DSF 21.75”                 PSF 22.75”
DSR 24.50”                 PSR 25.50”

New

DSF 24.00"                 PSF 24.00"
DSR 25.00”                 PSR 25.25”

It looks great. No noticeable ride or handling differences....just waiting on the wheels and MTZ's to get in next week. woo hoo.......! ! !

Glad I took mine in. (plus I got a sweet, loaded '07 loaner...I'm gonna miss that sun roof and 20 extra hp)
