Has anyone installed the OEM Undercarriage Protection on an H3. Is it something that you have to get installed by the dealer or can anyone install it.

The dealership I work at has only installed one set of the undercarrige protection. If you read the instructions it is pretty easy to install. Just nuts and bolts !!! Steve

I put it on mine. It took me about 20 minutes to do buy myself. H3X442 is correct. There are about 8 bolts and one with a nut, and one that requires a spacer (spacer included). You reuse some of the bolts that are already holing some thing on, and it comes with the rest. it completely removes the little stamped steel skidplate for the transfer case, and is quite stout. I was concerned about strength, but I have had the entire front end off the groung and just sitting on the UBC without hardly a scratch.

Very easy to install. It comes with instructions. Don't pay a dealer to install. I'm sure they will charge to much.

I have to say that this is one of the best add ons for off roading. I've nailed some rocks and this underbody protection really saved me.

Thanks guys, that's what I tought. I know they charge alot, they wanted to charge me $100 to install the roof rails. It took me all of 15 mins. to take out the roof rails and install them, I couldn't see paying that kind of money.

Speaking of undercarrage. The Dukes of Hazzrd movie was on HBO yesterday and there's a scene where Bo and Luke are in a police car and Daisy is off on the side of the road in bending over her hood of her jeep with tight azz shorts on. So the police go over to her and she asks them if they could check her "undercarrage"!

Yep, that one scene just about justifies the whole miserable experience of watching that flick. Damn nice undercarrage.
