I did talk to someone today at stallion and they said we need to have the new shock brackets that they provide because of the shock being strecthed to far it will make it stiff . makes sense but i just want to make sure i do it right . i have done stuff like this before with out doing research and it never works out wright. so thats why so many questios before i go off and buy something for this thanks.di your shock seem like they are strecth to far ?

i don't know about a new shock bracket being necessary, but it would maintain the same static shock position. there are better shocks than rancho that are less expensive too. edelbrock makes a good all around shock, ok on the street and pretty good offroad. rancho is more about bling these days than they used to be, now that they've shipped manufacturing offshore. a good shock should eliminate the need for new brackets, but it all depends on how far you lift the front with the new keys. personally, i'd stay with the stock keys the truck was designed to use. if you want it lifted, do it right and lift it all. the keys will add extra stress to the torsion bar it wasn't designed to deal with. and that $166 will be a bargain when your warranty doesn't cover the new torsion bar.

Well i just got my torsion bar turned and it leveled my H 3 perfect. it is the same as the back 8 inches from the tire and it looks good.the ride is not even feel diffrent trust me when i say that just try it if yoy want to level it.. i am used to driving a super duty anyway so it stills feels good. man it looks so much better. i have not got the alinement yet it does drive straight though but i will get that done next week. head lights i am not worried heck i had a 12 inch lift on my king ranch super duty and 40 inch tires and never worried about the head lights. i would recommend turning the torsion bar to anyone wanting to level theres out. i will try to post some photos soon. i have to figure how to get them on here.i did it with the idea if i didnt like it i could turn it back but i am leaving it like this love it .best part of this it only cost me 20.00 at a 4 wheel drive shop that i have done bussiness in the past with. Now i dont know if i am going to put the 315 x 75 x 16 OR the 305 x 70 x 16 i guesss the 35 wheel stuff the wheel well or the other one is a 34and a little bit wider i was told so i guess i will throw that out there for yalls help. Thanks

Could someone PLEASE take of picture of exactly where you make this adjustment and is it CCW or CW to adjust..From what I can tell looking at mine, there is a locking device/cap place over the end to prevent movement or unauthorized adjustment...But I'm unsure if I'm looking at the correct thingy.

Thanks!

i put a picture up of the H2 adjustment spot earlier in this thread. just follow your torsion bar back to the center of the vehicle, the adjustment is in the cross member. CW tightens it (lift), CCW drops you back down.

Good excuse to go out and have a smoke...
Mucho grassyass..I think I seen what you're talking about..On the H3, the adjustment bolt (about a 7/8) is on the outboard side from the torsion bar..I guess..I see nothing inside of the frame towards the center of the underneath..

So, if I'm not mistaken..Jack up the front end so both tires are off the ground. Put a mark on the bolt to count 2.5 turns CW (each), this will give the front end a little lift to level it up with rear end..

that would be the proper way to do it, yes. i was too lazy to do it that way, the bus makes cool creaking noises when you don't jack it up and crank on the adjuster. the number of turns is up to you. i don't know about the 3, but on the 2 each turn is supposed to change the height by .2". i found that to be crap. i also found that each side adjusts differently. i have the pass side cranked more than the drivers side.

btw, smoking kills (warning, in huge letters, on cigarettes sold in the UK). think i'll go have one too.
