are there any synthetic fluids in 07 hummers from the factory
and
is there any production date for hummer h3's that do not appear to have head/valve problems?

I do not believe the 07's will be affected for the head issue. The VIN # that was given by GM in the bulliten that a tech posted was for 06's only I believe.

I talked to the service manager at Sewell here in Dallas and he said the same thing. It's an '06 issue, he said, and that the new parts were put into '07s.

Also, they put in Mobil-1 and Castrol Syntec if desired...since you asked. I dont' think there's anythign synthetic from the factory.

Is there a VIN serial number range known for the H3s that might have valve issues?

You can find the vehicles affected if you look at the VIN listed in the discussion at the top of the H3 section. There are two threads about the Head and Valve Issue. You don't need to worry about it if your vehicle has a VIN after that number. Search around. You'll find it.
