Overhaulin' H1

Fireman -> Overhaulin' H1 (11/17/2006 6:28:42 PM)

Did anyone else see that episode? They overhauled one of the CNN hummers, that the news crews used in Iraq. It turned out great. I'll look around to see if I can find some pics of it.

Yea I saw it pretty cool.

Yeah, but I would have thaought that the news crew (who actually used that H1 in Iraq) would have had a more enthusiastic response when it was "revealed"th them. They didn't seem to be overly impressed with all of the effort that was put into making that thing truly awesome.

DWP99 -> RE: Overhaulin' H1 (11/18/2006 9:19:01 PM)

I agree with you, they should have shown more enthusiasm and appreciation for all the hard work that was done on the H1. tlthough They all seemed eager to share their stories when asked.

Linus Gump -> RE: Overhaulin' H1 (11/18/2006 9:32:21 PM)

When has the media shown appreciation and enthusiasm for anything related to that war?

Fireman -> RE: Overhaulin' H1 (11/19/2006 1:49:32 AM)

True that, guys.. I hear ya.

But I still think the Hummer turned out nice. [;)] I also respect the fact that the auctioning of it, will help the famlies of wounded soldiers. CNN could have sent it to the crusher, but instead chose to do this and auction it, so it's cool that the little H1, and it's history, will still be around for a good long while.
